Worked fine until Tax Day - Update

swarren42

As noted elsewhere, April 15 battery status is now stuck. Some functions continue to work i.e. lock doors. Online portal is more accurate but is getting worse by the day. Contacted Nissan support via chat. Chat wanted my Vin number, my home address, my email address, and after that I disconnected.Live agent wasn’t much better. They seem to be absolutely clueless. Server update on Easter Sunday made no improvement on the App performance. Still not updating charge status. Website portal is working in that regard but slow. update 4/23 Status is back after repeated logouts and logging back in again. Fingers crossed.

Charge status working again

It appears the charging status is working again. Yay!

Unscheduled maintenance!

⭐️⭐️??? - Updates work again... but the app is still under-developed. It looks like they’ve added iPhone widget capabilities, but no way to edit the list to features you want to use. Now that we can use the widgets, they will need to change the name of their app settings so it is not confused with the phone’s widget settings. The widget should also show when the status was last updated. ????? - Sadly Nissan is failing to update its customers about an unscheduled outage for this app. Logging onto the Nissan owner’s portal you can still retrieve updates, but the app is not updating at present. I spoke to a representative and they are unsure about when it will be resolved. Nissan! If you’re listening... please listen to and connect with your customers. Let us know there is an issue so we know what to expect. You’re not selling this EV green wave driving experience to the best of your ability. Original review: ⭐️⭐️??? - Depending on how the cellular radio or signal for getting vehicle info actually works, it could be understandable for the slow updates: Update request leaves the app and reaches EV&S servers, dials in to the car, polls for information, receives the information, sends to app... that could understandably take a minute, particularly depending on cell service or signal strength in the area. Problem is, the app should(could?) be anticipating that and try to preemptively update, but doesn’t. Can there be a setting to automatically update all data upon opening the app? Or maybe on a schedule? Additionally... please let us change the car’s color!

iPhone battery burner

JoeMLa

This is one of the poorest crafted apps on the Apple website. It consistently burns 25% of my battery per day or per unit time. The application is unresponsive and poorly designed. If you want to remove a function from the polling sequence you need to go to the widget manager and remove it from the widget manager. The manual is obtuse and does not explain the architecture of the application. It is not a typical for AN update to lock or unlock the doors to take a minute plus. Rather useless unless you are in the next state. The worst part of this application is not the application per se. It is the lack of support from Nissan. When advised of the battery problem they said it was an Apple iOS problem. Hard to believe that they’re that smart. Don’t bother using this application.I suggest that you use the PC interface and make sure that your vehicle is connected to the Internet via Wi-Fi. This dramatically improves the update rate and doesn’t burn your batteries in your phone.

Your new update

Stormgambit

The latest update causes the app crash upon opening. Please fix.

App crashes on opening. Nissan is no Tesla

Ken Z2

Super annoying and unhelpful- App crashes continuously. The lack of functionality and stability of this app compared to my wife’s Tesla app is telling. Nissan is headed for the dustbin of history if they can’t get this stuff right.

A bit slow but useful

I appreciate the Apple Watch app and the widgets in iOS. It’s slow to get the current battery level and other stats. But at least it works.
