App doesn't work, can't connect to vehicle. No clear instructions on set up or use. No customer support. Very disappointing.

Nissan has never gotten this right. App is pretty unresponsive, which makes the slow request time even worse. They've had years to get what should be a simple app up to snuff. Glad I don't have to rely on it.

No notification to customers, just stopped working! This app is important to me, I live in an apartment building and want to check how much charge is in my car before I leave home. When the app worked, it was slow and clunky, but I could live with that. Take it off the app store if you cannot support it!

If I were Nissan, I would never allow this crapfest of an "app" to use my name. Seriously embarrassing.

While this app allows you to do some cool things, it does it very slowly, it has glitches that make you jump to different pages. If this were a phone where there are other options, the customers would jump on the opportunity to switch vendors. It allowed me to register from the app and when it didn't work I called service and the guy acted like I was stupid because you need to do it from a computer. Ok, if you release a product that has parts that don't work... Usually you'd turn that off until you'd fixed it. I love my car but Nissan has to develop their electronic side. Perhaps even take a page from Toyota and actually have customers involved in the development. I use this app only because there are no other options.

This app could be so much better. Need ability to see and set charge & climate timers as well as ability to export driving data to excel etc. would be nice if driving data was stored in app once accessed from the car, as every time it has to send a request it is so sluggish. Any improvements in speed would be welcome, or even a 'cancel' button if you change your mind or meant to press a different button in app. The leaf is a solid car, but needs a better companion app.

Five years later, the hardware delivered in the form of the first generation Nissan Leaf has held up well. Its mobile app, on the other hand, even with recent updates continues to disappoint. A rare misstep for what is otherwise solid engineering in the car itself.

The last update rendered this app useless. Was slow before, but worked fine. Now, after several minutes of updating, it comes back with all zeros (0 miles, etc.). You'd think with all the poor reviews someone at Nissan would say, "This is unacceptable! Let's fix this thing now!" Are you listening, Nissan?

Is it too cold to go outside? Will you let a bunch of mosquitos into your house if you open the door? If so, this app gets two stars, because it eventually works most of the time after a long wait. I also had good "online chat" support the two times I used it that resolved my issue within 15 minutes or so. Having said that, in the year 2016, in a metropolitan area with a strong 4G LTE signal, would you expect to wait three minutes or longer while waiting for a simple car charge status from your phone? Get with it, Nissan! I love the car, but the iPhone app is straight out of 1999.

All I get is "The service can't be provided." The car company stuck in 1999
