A very useful utility

Maybe I’m not the best source for a review of an app that controls your car; my last car was a 2002 Civic that I thought was high tech because it had a remote door lock. Anyways, I find the app really neat. I like that I can see the charge and use climate control from my phone. My favorite aspect is that I can enter my home electric rate and the app will estimate how much it costs to charge the car each month. That’s really handy when people ask you about how much your mobile appliance costs you to charge. I also know that it’s exactly 22.7 miles to work one way, so that’s neat too. I don’t really know what the point of the ‘eco trees’ is. Does Nissan plant a real tree for every 1k or something? Maybe I’ll plant a tree if I reach 1k. I recommend this app. Really, it’s free and it has a lot of information about your driving habits. I wish Nissan would integrate some kind of State of Health for the battery. We all know it can be tracked thanks to LeafSpy, even if it’s just an estimate. I love my 2015 Nissan Leaf, and this app gives me a lot of connection to that glorified electric wheelchair.

Can’t log in

TravisMcGee

I’ve reset my password from the app to the website and I still can’t log in. I see that this is going to become a subscription service for new lead owners?!!!? That seems a little ridiculous. Why would u charge for an app that hasn’t been reliable from the onset.

Slow and Inconsistent

Chris the pwnerer

The app requires me to refresh every time I load, sometimes taking several minutes to complete. Connection to car is sporadic and inconsistent even across days when I park in the same place — sometimes the app just won’t speak to the car. Great in concept, poor in execution.

iPhone X?

Leaf JP

When you will update to iPhone X screen?

Never activates climate control on first try

Denver Designer

No matter which version I’ve used on this app I always have to click the “climate control on” button twice before it actually sends the instruction to the Leaf.

Great car - poor app

Gyro B

Does not update charge status. After more than a week with customer support they gave up and blamed the phone, iOS, carrier etc (although I tried on several latest devices and with the latest iOS).

Only partially works

Disco411

I am only able to regulate the AC and see the charge level. Nothing else functions within the app. I’ve called support several times. No one can fix it. It needs a firmware update for the new 2018 Leaf.

Does not work with 2018

Bubba2012x

Does not work with my 2018 Leaf. My wife’s Tesla app worked perfectly from day 1.

This app is a TRAIN WRECK

bixie

This app is a complete disaster. All of the bad things reviewers are saying are 100% true. Don’t waste your time. Way to go, NISSAN. Love my car, hate your app. If I weren’t forced to give it at least one star, this would be a ZERO star rating.

Worse App Ever

Miso1323

Don’t judge the car by the App. Just bought the 2018 Leaf and it’s dream to drive! So much technology in a great EV car with a App and website portal that’s junk. Buggy, connection is spotty, errors with no explanation and Nissan’s Connect customer service doesn’t seem to understand the portal functions or the App. When the App does work its good but not great. You can ask it to start charging the car but you can’t ask it to stop. If you’ve used ChargePoint their App has a stop charging function....so it seems possible. It takes forever to open the App and then you have to tell it to update. Which also takes forever ....then if it doesn’t work it’ll say updated but you know it’s not because the time doesn’t change. As said, the car and Nissan as a whole are amazing. This App and NissanConnect not so much.
