Not compatible with iPhone 7!

maxps4

According to Nissan, you should not update the app if you have an iPhone 7 as it is NOT compatible and has not been tested with that phone. I spent the last couple weeks trying to log in and use the Nissan EV app since the big update with no luck. Nissan got back to me and stated that the app does not work with the iPhone 7. Apple should block the update from being available to iPhone 7’s or require testing before they advertise compatibility. I wish I had a way to downgrade the app. Logging in through the web site still works.

The potential is there the execution is lacking

Paid for my older 2013 Leaf to have the cellular upgraded to newer AT&T working one. Spent 200.00. Only to find that I can’t login to the app. Nissan support claims there is a fix on the way. But odd that they would ever release one without checking account login.

Won’t let me use the service.

I just purchased my Leaf and was excited to set up the app. It told me that I would have to wait weeks for the registration to be finalized and mailed, then upload a photo to some black hole mailbox to prove my ownership. What a way to kill any pride in my purchase of a Nissan.

Can’t even get in!

Sage Case

I reset my password and I have only ever received the message “error occurred. Please try back later” I’d give the app a zero if I could.

New app. Same old issues

never buying a nissan again

Nissan. Why can’t you build an app that works? This has to be the worst app version after version I have ever used. Funny how my Tesla app works great every time. And this app I need to log out and log in 5 times and then the vehicle info will be a week old. Or it shows 0 percent when it’s fully charged! Nice “new” release. I wish the Chevy bolt was out when I got my leaf! #nevernissan

Can’t believe they made it worse!

FulPhone

It seems like it has more features but it doesn’t work. It doesn’t update the location, gets stuck and freezes. On Feb 10th it update stuff on Feb 3. TOTAL garbage!

Nissan Finally put some time into this app

Customer233

February 2018 Update: The new app largely addresses all the issues with the old app. It functions 95% of the time now. Network functions with car are still rather slow but at least reliable. 25 Feb 2016 Update: Security flaw in app. So Nissan decided to disable app instead of fixing it. 30 October Update: Nissan has FINALLY updated their app and added telematics information. Jury is still out on actual connection reliability with vehicle. 28 June Update: After evaluating this app for a month I can say that the "network communications issue" has been fixed. Additionally the climate control feature works 9 times out of 10. Bottom line is this dated app at least works the vast majority of the time. However it's long overdue for an extensive update/new features. 06 May Update: Don't get excited, nothing changed in the app except for the colors. Perhaps the stability has improved, to soon to tell. Old Review: While its a nice feature to be able to turn on your heat/AC from your smartphone it rarely works on this app. Frequent error message: "Network connection lost." Whatever that means. App also struggles to consistently update vehicle status when requested.

Nice app, poor backend

The app itself looks very nice now… A much needed upgrade from the old user interface. However, it is still quite painful to use thanks to the unbearably slow services it must interact with. Nissan, could you please try to find a way to get the round-trip car commands and updates updates to complete in under 30-40 seconds?

New look but still unreliable and slow

Ashmoore1

The new look and feel is a huge relief after the previous app version so an extra star for that. Sadly even basic things like starting climate control in the morning is a tedious multi step process due to the unreliability. Starting climate (or any option) means open the app, then waiting for it to initiate. That takes 30-40 seconds. Then refresh to make sure it really sees the car Then issue your command Then refresh again Then reissue your command 8-10 times that works, but each time needs a manual check. Almost pointless if it can’t be relied on. Technically not the apps fault, just the useless back end that it’s forced to use.

Can’t even sign in

I can’t get past terms and conditions it says error. Epic fail. I am not putting my vin in manually five times.
