It works fine until you change settings on your monitor. I changed the location of my headers. It disabled the 30 second play back option. I had to go in and load everything back to default. My 30 second play back is back. I’ve been told you can change your settings around. You can make it dualstream better quality. With changing settings you lose “perks” of the reason you purchased the cameras or use the app. I’ll just update my review now. Nobody emails back from technical support for the app. I’m not longer able to get notifications on my phone. I’ve done everything they’ve had me do for troubleshooting before with no luck. If you choose Lorex, which I have unfortunately at work now too, expect the worst and hope for the best. I’d love to talk to someone about not having Push Notifications working.

Still waiting after weeks of no application that will work with my NVR system. The suggested app listed on the Lorex website is Lorex Secure, and after updating the firmware it gives a message that “this application does not support the device you are attempting to add, go to the store and download a compatible application.” This is un-acceptable. Bought this system for the ability of live play back and ease of use. Huge let down.
No longer compatible

After performing a firmware upgrade on both of my Lorex NVRs, neither is compatible anymore with the Lorex Secure app. Sends me to Lorex Cloud app which is an extremely poor substitution. Please fix this. After all the recent similar complaints, are the developers ever going to update this app so that it is once again compatible with the appropriate NVR as stated on their web page? I notice a few developer responses to other issues but there are absolutely mum on this. I was intending to upgrade to 4K cameras but I’ll go elsewhere if this compatibility issue isn’t resolved.

I love the cameras however trying to playback feed on the app never works. It will play for about 1 or 2 mins then it will say “app timed out” Do not waste your money.

I started out having to call Lorex about 6-7 x just to get my system working. I was inches from sending the system back . The scan to automatically connect everything still doesn’t work. I find that the two apps on my phone tends to crash more than I would like. I hate that you can’t erase the hard drive. I have a Ring on my front door and it is far more intuitive than My Lorex system. The cameras are nice but need the larger cell batteries included in the original bundle. I find myself changing them every two weeks. Please try to emulate the Ring system- it is much more user friendly.

The biggest load of crap!!!
We need to file a class action lawsuit! False selling points! Cloud service, remote viewing through apps etc.
Don’t do the update!

I updated and now my cameras will no longer connect to the app. What a waste.
