Terrible apps.

Cameras are decent, fairly easy to install. Resolution is okay not the best, better than the Comcast cameras I replaced these with. However, xfinity’s app is 100 % better than Lorex apps. Can’t understand why Lorex doesn’t want to take the lead and come up with a simple app that works? Lorex cloud is a bit better than Lorex secure but, can’t view my cameras on landscape mode on my iPad on Lorex cloud. Very disappointed. Wouldn’t recommend it.

Your App is a big disappointment, compared to your cameras!! Hopefully you can invest into a better app developers to make it a more seamless experience!!


DON’T INSTAL THE FIRMWARE UPDATE

I downloaded the most recent firmware update for my NVR because the app kept bugging me about it. After I did so, I couldn’t connect at all to the NVR using the application. Luckily I had a bin file from the previous firmware version I was able to restore functionality. Also, ever since I got these cameras there will be a few that display the message “the login return time is up”, on the monitor connected to the NVR. It will last for ~2 hours and then the camera pops back up. It won’t be more than 2 days and it happens again either on the same camera or a different one. Set NVR to factory default settings but still didn’t fix it. Next plan is to re-crimp cables and if that doesn’t work perform factory default on camera itself.

A few days ago my Lorex system that I have had for a year decided it needed to be updated. I went and clicked to update my system and all the sudden my cameras quit connecting to the WiFi. I tried reinstalling the cameras and it now says the device is no longer supported on the app. The app that I have always used. Wish they would fix this bug.

I've had my unit for seven months. Professionally installed and set up. The apps are terrible. I originally paid for rapid recap and all the sudden it was no longer supported for my device. Never received a refund. We were using lorex secure app and all the sudden that needed a firmware update and poof my device is no longer sputtered. Never with prior notification. Even though my nvr still is listed as new on the website. If you speak to customer service you will lose two hours of your life each time.


Cameras good, app is trash.

Camera quality and function is good, DVR interface is ok, not great. The app... the app is HORRIBLE. It works for a little while and will randomly reset, or will have you enter the login and then tell you you have a bad connection or some other BS reason for not working. And the best part... the developers have done NOTHING to resolve any of it. Have a set of EZ Vis that were half the price and work a hundred times better.

I used to be able to review events from all of my cameras in the morning when waking up. Now on one of my cameras I just get a black screen with a Q on it. Please fix!

Cameras work great no issues (after I upgraded the cables)... The app used to work but I can no longer view my cameras from my iPhone.. the app requests I entered a different user name and password (from my original log in). I emailed customer service and received no help... not being able to view my cameras from my app when I am not home is defeating the purpose of owning cameras..
