Flir Secure was a bad product but it worked. Lorex took Flir and made it far worse. I had all cameras accessible with Flir. As soon as I replaced Flir with Lorex Secure, 5 of 9 cameras now show nothing, jusr blurry lines. It happened right after I installed Lorex Secure... Bad product.

After reading the reviews I thought this app was going to be horrible but it is pretty good. Live view with 6 cameras works great. Rewind and play is really quick only real issues is it would be nicer to have a low resolution with fast, fast forward to just see a person and then slow it down. The auto detect is sensitive and picks up a lot of plant movement so it is hard to find person in a days worth of video. I did have one issue when installing that Lorax can easily fix. There is a limit of only 6 characters on the password for the recorder. However I put in 8 and thought it took all 8. So when I tried the password on the app it didn’t work (obviously because it was a 6 character password vice 8). I triple checked the password and it would work on the recorder but not the app. I finally figured out the recorder was 6 character limit!

I was prompted that the Lorex FLIR app was going away and to download this app in its place. Haven’t been able to connect to my DVR ever since. Terrible update! Not pleased. Used to be able to see cameras on my phone and now I get an error saying incorrect username and password (except I set those up and it won’t take them). Even added a new user and it still doesn’t work.

I have had the app for about a month and it works great. I am using the I-phone X. Cameras are great quality and app was easy to set up.

This app is terrible. Basic functions such a playback don’t even work. Want to save a clip to your phone? Yeah good luck with that. Complete trash.

Couple issues

Couple things. First is that when I’m reviewing a motion activated video on my phone, and I want to fast forward or rewind the video, it fails to load and I have to start the video over. Even in the 30second playback. Second thing is, why don’t we have the option of adjusting the time for the NVR through the app instead of making us connect to a tv or monitor to be able to adjust that. Update: Lorex tech support is terrible. Emailed them twice for a problem I’m having with my nvr. Haven’t heard back from them yet. Called and they weren’t able to help me unless I was at home. The cameras might be good but the ability to get help when you need it might not be worth the it. I wouldn’t buy another Lorex product and would tell everyone I know to buy something else like arlo.

After downloading and setting up account I tried to login to my camera system and it says wrong user name and/or password. I downloaded the FLIR app and got logged in without issue. Don’t bother with this app it’s useless.

Cannot replay stored videos remotely

I’ve just concluded a 1+ hour technical service call with the manufacturer. I have an iPhone X and the newest iPad, running iOS 11.4, and while I am getting notifications and still-frame event thumbnails, any attempt to review the recorded videos remotely results in either “Corrupted Video”or “Failed to load video” and no replay. Loren technical support cannot correct the issue. We’ve downloaded a fresh copy of the app, restarted the Lorex DVR, and they’ve connected directly to the DVR remotely. No resolution. They are now claiming that they need to verify with iOS 11.4.

Notifications not working

I have not been able to get motion alerts since changing to the new app. Notifications worked fine on the old app.
