Oh. My. Freaking heck.

A-F FanAttic

I need to write this to say that whoever is running Lionsgate's digital department seems monstrously incompetent and uncaring for the consumer. And it's not just because of this app. It's just part of a larger mindbending trend. First off - their codes that come with blurays recently do not consistently redeem in the same services. Not every lionsgate digital copy will redeem in iTunes. Don't know until you buy the movie and try though! They also don't join in with MoviesAnywhere, so your collection is chopped and divided no matter what. Second - Midsommar. Freaking Midsommar. A great movie that only has its director's cut available in iTunes. Passable for me because I use iTunes (but I also prefer physical media). Why isn't that director's cut in 4k like the shorter cut? Dunno! Want the director's commentary for Midsommar? That's an Amazon exclusive! Gotta buy it again! For your Amazon library! No but thank you! Still not MoviesAnywhere compatible which would make this much more a non-issue. Third - High Life. Great movie! New release. No extras in iTunes. No idea why. The Blu-ray has them. No discernible reason. But finally - This freaking app. That is required to redeem John wick 3 because (internet search helped me find out) they shut down the option to redeem that code without this app on the day of the movie's video release. So the instructions it came with are invalidated and no clarification in the website they direct you to. Download the app. Refuse to enable the location settings (holy what???), fiddle with the camera for six minutes trying to scan their hologram until you realize it only works without the flashlight they turned on for you. Then redeem. Whew. Finally redeemed. Deleting app. Unsubscribing from mailing list they required me to sign up for. Never buying a lionsgate Blu-ray or uhd new again until they change this messy bullsh.

Garbage

This is atrocious. Just give us a QR code to link to our Vudu like everyone else. The app adds more unnecessary steps between the consumer and the product they paid for while also taking up valuable space on my phone it needn’t take up. Also why does it want to know my location? Isn’t accessing my vudu enough?!

Pain in the arse

Prior reviews have truly spoken the purpose of this shameful app.

Completely useless app just to datamine

Perrins21

Only thing this app does is grab your info sees what you have and gives you recommendations based on your history. It’s just a data mining app in order to further sell you stuff and movies. Once you download it and sign in they have your data trail and then it kicks over to iTunes to redeem your movie. The best example of this is think of this app as the third middle person in the quest to get yourself a good sack of weed. Think of it like going to your cousin who has to go through his girlfriends brother to get to the seller for your stash. This app is the equivalent of being the girlfriends brother. Get your crap together and let us redeem our purchases directly with iTunes!

Garbage app

This app is ridiculous and unnecessary. Lionsgate just needs to get onboard with MoviesAnywhere. The app wanted my location information, which I declined. Once I got the code to enter into iTunes, I immediately deleted the app.

Awful Company

Parchment of Power

Why does a movie code redemption app need to know my location? I actively avoid buying Lionsgate products thanks to this app.

Obnoxious that this even exists

Stee-rider

This could so easily be done with a simple QR code. There’s no reason for this app to exist. I paid for a movie and shouldn’t have to give up personal info to get what I’ve already paid for. For this and other reasons, Lionsgate stands out in my mind as a particularly poisonous studio with utterly tone-deaf leadership.

Doesn’t work.

Keep getting error messages. Modern day mail-in rebate scam.

Don't enter an email

The best thing I can say about this is that you don't actually HAVE to register an email address. Just tap the "Redeem" button multiple times and it will skip to choosing which store to redeem your code. I'll never buy another Lionsgate product again until they remove this ridiculous step to redeem a license I've already purchased. Making me download an entire app that's a glorified QR code reader. This app was deleted the second after my code for JW3 was redeemed. I hope you go bankrupt, Lionsgate. It's what you deserve for treating your customers this way.

Unnecessary garbage

Arcsech

This app is totally unnecessary, just give us a dang code to put into instead.
