Bad first impression

Used door dash today to reward some employees. We ordered four items from Chipotle. Two out of the four showed up in the bag. Asked the driver if he was going to grab the others, he said yes. An hour went by we called the driver, he said they assigned it to someone else. Another 20 minutes went by and no food. I called the main number and they were not willing to work to solve the issue. Chipotle wouldn’t refund me the money, Door Dash wouldn’t deliver it. Next time I’ll just drive and pick up the food. Not a very good first impression.

You Lost A Frequent Customer

This app started as a great convenience for my demanding work schedule. The fees+delivery+tip add up, but I used it 4-10 times per week because it made life easier. I will no longer use this service though, and I advise you not to either, after the last TWO experiences I had. Both times, ordered dinner after a long day of work, way past hangry, food never shows up. A driver was never even assigned. First incident, got a full refund. Second time, only refunded $9 from a $50 order that never showed up. I sent my husband to the restaurant to pick up our own food. The restaurant employees all recommend to avoid this service due to so many issues. Customer service was terrible. To even speak with someone to address your time sensitive situation you have to wait for 80-130 people ahead of you. It’s all handled through a robotic chat system which doesn’t even understand the issue you explain nor delivers a solution to your problem. It’s 2018, you guys need to get it together. You had ONE job !

Seriously terrible (non) service. I’ve ordered plenty of times with doordash and they always seem to get at least one thing in the order wrong but the last two times I’ve used it they’ve been more useless than usual. The first time I placed an order and was given around a 50min wait time for delivery, next thing I know it’s been over an hour and a half and I’m getting a call from the restaurant saying that my food has been ready for an hour and no one has shown up to pick it up and they are now closed. I went through the trouble of having to call that horrible customer service line and explain what happened. They gave me a refund by way of doordash credit which is ridiculous that they didn’t give me a refund directly to my card. The last time I ordered which was a little while ago I placed an order at 10 and estimated that it would be delivered by 11. By 11:30 the app still showed that the order was received but not finished so I decided to call the restaurant and as it turns out, my order had been finished but no dasher was available to pick it up. I asked them if it was ok if I just pick it up before they close and they told me it was fine, but to call doordash and let them know. By the time the customer service actually got to me I was already at the restaurant and they told me that a dasher had just arrived there, 2 hours after I placed my order and they told me to just go home and wait for the food and only offered me the delivery charge as a credit refund for my trouble. I told them to cancel the order and refund me everything because their customer service is trash and so is their service.

*Warning* Major security flaw. If you change your email DoorDash does not require users to verify your saved credit card information. Someone hacked my account changed my email and went on a shopping spree at Bevmo (liquor and wine store) then decided they wanted Denny’s afterwards. I live in TX nearest Bevmo store is Arizona. Like most companies changing of personal information, like email, address, and password should either remove all stored credit card information or require you to validate than information again. I opened a case regarding the fraud and almost a week no follow up. My bank has called me twice since reported. I guess fraud is not a serious issue.


Worse than picking up the phone to call and order

My order showed up at 215 in the morning... I ordered it around 11. I called the restaurant, and my food was ready well over an hour before delivery. I went to bed, cause 215 am, and just woke up to an email and 25 missed calls informing me that it was my fault I didn’t get the delivery and therefore no refund will be issued... uhhh, never again. Need I say more?


Need different tip option

I have a young baby and sometimes it’s hard to get out to a meal or to make food. Enter DoorDash! I’ve ordered several times and most of the time everything is correct and timely. One order was very late, and missing an item. The app credited me for the missing item, but no reference to the lateness. The dashers I’ve talked to have been mostly friendly and nice. It’s a good service. I’d like the option to tip after my order arrives. I ordered yesterday and the guy came on time, the order was right, and we had a quick chat. I’d be happy to tip more on that order! On the other hand, one dasher was very late, got lost, and complained a lot. No love lost on a good tip there. Please update so we can tip after the order arrives!

1. As a dasher I recently got scammed by someone who claimed who was a Doordash representative and I immediately contacted Doordash because this individual got into my account and stole my money that I’ve earned for the week . They asked to escalate this and their email this is the response “ Thank you for explaining your situation. We’ve escalated your case to a Payments Specialist, who will contact our third-party payments vendor to get them to attempt to recover this payment. Please note that unfortunately this is rarely successful, and it may take up to two weeks for them to inform us whether or not they were able to recover your funds.” RARELY SUCCESSFUL!! Unacceptable! There is no one that I can literally talk to when it comes to this company they have an automated answer to every question that I had I don’t even use them as a customer ! Postmates and Grubhub have done so much better !

Trying to use app and keep getting a pop up box saying I need a newer version however when goto App Store I have latest version so can’t even use. Very annoying! Deleted and reinstalled nothing seems to work!

Is your favorite sandwich 99 cents? Not on door dash. Not only do you pay delivery fees and tips but the price of items is about 150%. There needs to be accountability here. If you need to make more money then raise delivery fees. Don’t raise a restaurants prices. I wonder if the restaurants know this is taking place and their customers are being charged more.
