Good but severe connectivity issues!

jordntheking

Everything was working great until I bought the C-Reach to add HomeKit voice control to my LED lights. Now, I can’t control my lights anymore and the app keeps saying unable to connect. I’ve tried all the troubleshooting steps and even factory reset both devices about fifteen times now. After I completed the reset, everything connects normally but after five minutes everything disconnects. In the troubleshooting steps, it keeps telling me to reset all the devices & turn the power off but doing that doesn’t fix the issue of all the devices disconnecting after setup! This is really starting to get frustrating... calling support won’t fix anything either because they will tell me do perform the same steps over again. This app needs an update ASAP!

Great when it works

These definitely solve a problem, giving me a smart no neutral switch and dimmer switch, but that’s about it. These regularly disconnect from my wi-fi, which defeats the purpose of any automations or group setups. When trying to re-connect in the app, the app freezes or, if I manage to get past that, it claims to not find ANY networks (there are about 12 to choose from). I’ve given this an honest effort for months now but this experience is an incredibly weak showing for GE.

This app simply doesn’t work

Terrible

Terrible app. Always has issues connecting. I have to close the app then reopen it for it to actually work. Takes forever to connect to the light. It would be much quicker physically turning the light on. I hope they fix this. For the price of the bulbs, this is ridiculous.

Horrible

Honestly I would’ve put a 0 if possible, I bought 2 LED strips for around $80 each and at that price you would think they came with premium functions but sadly they are worse than the $30 lights that I took down. They don’t come with a remote so you have to use the app whenever you want to turn on or change the color of the lights which is not a problem but however these expensive a** lights didn’t even come with a shuffle feature to make the colors rotate with out doing it manually. Another thing is that the lights can’t change with the beat of the music playing which is a really cool feature that I had with my previous $30 light strips; more so , I also feel it’s dumb that you have to buy a C reach device to connect the strips to the Home app. SAVE YALL MONEY AND GO TO AMAZON THEY NEVER DISAPPOINT.

Good app, needs work though

Works great with the lights I have, I have 4 total in the house. Have had maybe one issue connecting, but it was probably user error. The help it needs I think is to add “flavor” to the app. The bland white is atrocious, add some personality to the app. The second thing it needs is a widget for quick access, this app would be amazing with that in my opinion. Overall good, recommended with the lights. Thanks.

Whys it so difficult?

Took 40 min to sync the light bulb. And i dont know what part of “turn light on at 6am” prompted the bulb to turn on at 550am??

A few bugs but great support.

I’ve had a few little glitches with updates but the support team has been above and beyond in helping to resolve any issues. Don’t hesitate to send them feedback instead of just giving them a bad review. At least give them a chance they’re very willing to work with you.
