When I wanted to make a new account it did not allow me to type it in because it made the keys disappear

The app is easy to use, colors work great, and the app design is good, it will just never connect which makes the most important light in my house the least reliable and makes the entire product not worth it. Despite good design, difficult to make any light you consistently use reliant on this app.

I just bought several of the C by GE bluetooth smart bulbs and I’m delighted with the lights and the app. I intentionally chose the bluetooth version (instead of wi-fi) and I know that makes it a bit more difficult to connect them to Alexa or Google. If you want to connect the smart bulbs to Alexa, Google, or HomeKit, the wi-fi version may be the better option. I was a little concerned given the trouble that some users have had, but my experience was completely different. The setup was very fast and easy. The app updated the firmware on my lights quickly and without any problems whatsoever. The app is simple yet very powerful, providing basic to advanced operation. Frankly, having given these lights and the app a try, I’m a big fan and plan to install the lights throughout my home. I would certainly buy the lights again and I think the app is great. If I could ask for one thing, it would be an iPad version of the app. Great work on the app and the lights. Cheers!

As the title says, I can’t even set up the bulb because I can’t even create an account on the “c for GE” app. Definitely will be returning the product tomorrow. Horrendous experience.

I wish there were an option to dim the lights, lower than 5%. I’ve had other bulbs (feit electric) that can be dimmed down to 1%. I find that certain colors at 5% is too bright. Especially with the light strips. They reflect off the wall strongly.

The app won’t let me change the WiFi network. I already have to reconnect a ton of bulbs because I changed the WiFi information, now I can’t even try. It won’t do anything.

A few months ago, you had to completely shut down the app every other day or so to get it to work again. Then it became every day you had to do this. Now, it’s every time you want to use it. It just doesn’t work and I just want to jam the jagged edges of a broken light bulb through it’s eyes

Cumbersome and not user friendly... needs bluetooth and for you to stand directly next to it to do anything Update to GE’s response: Nope

The bulbs are just ok, but the whole point is that they are supposed to be “smart”. The app does not connect very fast to the GE app and does not connect at all to Alexa or Siri. Very disappointed with my purchase.
