It is a good app because I have the led strips and can change the color exactly when I need to and to the perfect tone of light. What I think it should have is a couple of modes where it goes through colors of the rainbow automatically and it could fade and pulse and stuff like that it would be cool to see in the next update


Completely missed the bar.

Not only are there frequent app issues, connectivity, firmware updates, etc., but the bulbs themselves malfunction from time to time. As much as I appreciate the direction and the advance in technology, there is a lot of work and testing that should have been done. I’ll try again in a few years maybe, but right now, it’s a no for me.

I am totally unimpressed with these bulbs. And this app. I have had to call to set it up and they still don’t work. Never buy these again.


Unreliable now I know what the C means

Continues to lose contact with devices. Device won’t respond to commands from Google or the C byGEApp unless I go to settings, pull up the device and control it from there. So it obviously is contacting the devices but has App bugs that are keeping it from responding properly.


Automation isn’t working properly

I keep trying to set up automatic times to turn on the lights for when I wake up, and it just keeps saying there is an error and the automation can’t be made. The automation then says it’s been set up but shows up in the automation tab and doesn’t work to turn the lights on.


Awful App. Bulbs stopped working

App will not work..keeps saying I need internet connection..phone is on my wi-fi, then tried phone data, still keeps saying internet no internet connection. Bought 2 smart bulbs only got one to work on google home consistently, the other one only worked for about a week. Very frustrating...


Great app however, missing one KEY feature!

I love using the app with my full color RGB bulb. Except I think there is a keep feature that would make a great improvement to the app. When I first bought the bulb I thought there would be a way to pulse/change the colors with a automation. I’ve been waiting for an update to be released that would change this, but maybe a review will do it.

These lights are okay. If you are using a Google Homeas the hub they seem to work pretty well. However I am using a C-Reach and they are absolutely terrible. They barely ever work with my automations, they barely ever respond to anything that I tell them to do via the C by GE app or the Apple Home app. They also die super easily. I have one on my patio soffet as a flush mount. I have had it for 2 months and it just died and the bulb no longer works. At this rate I’m debating on moving to Phillips or anywhere brand. I highly believe this is due to the C-Reach having poor WiFi antenna. Maybe if the had a version that plugged into Ethernet they would work better but who knows. But if anyone that GE has a better idea I’m all ears. My C-Reach is wishing 20’ of my AP with a direct line of sight. Thanks.

Wouldn’t connect to my WiFi. Returning now. Wasted 3 hours. I work in IT and have a lot of smart home appliances I would not recommend this.
