What happened since iOS 11?

My lights worked fine for the past year or so, only needed to reset them occasionally prior to iOS 11 update. Since then not only do I have to reset my 6 bulbs individually but delete and reinstall the app several times to get it to work. I’ve even contacted support to find out if it’s a common issue. Between Apple and GE somebody needs to fix the app or the iOS or both. Never had this many Bluetooth issues before the update. Also removing the dark mode was a huge mistake, more time and effort should be invested in stability and reliability across all current iOS and Android operations systems with current model mobile devices and instead of removing features that were not causing issues.

GE has been a well known name in my family and I was excited to get these bulbs and test them out. But the app and the bulbs just do not work. I am now going to Lifx. Wish they would fix the connection issues and the firmware issues.

Ok the app is great! Has a title bit of bugs but still is amazing! But here’s the thing, I’ve been trying to figure out a way to get the dark theme back. Then I realize that they removed it! Why would they remove it?


Don’t buy the bulbs. Go with another brand.

Same as all the other reviewers. It doesn’t work. The app is horrible. I never can use Alexa with it. Or google home. Waste of money. If you were thinking about purchasing the bulbs don’t do it. Go with Phillips hue. I honestly had hoped that by now they would have worked it out. That maybe they took the reviews into account—- they don’t care. I don’t expect to ever get to use them as part of a smart home. Waste of money and time.

What?! I have to create an account and log in to turn on a light bulb? I got these for almost nothing and already they're turning out to be more trouble than they're worth. Given all the bad reviews I was willing to give up them a try but I'm not going to create an account and give you access to my routine just to use a light bulb. Wow, are you overthinking light bulbs.


You appear to have removed

the ability to edit the bulb names and I really need it to remove the nAme coffee from a lamp, which it hardly recognizes. Please restore it if you removed it, otherwise how do I do it.

WARNING DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT BY GENERAL ELECTRIC,Does not work , app requires to steal your personal information to turn your bulb on and off , this bulb is going in the garbage where it belongs , the worst product i have ever owned the worst company and the worst app on the planet, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT complete waste of money and time , the product does not work ever!!! The company will not provide any help what so ever!!!! I warned you app is completely null and will not work at all
