In the Dark Ages

tamalé

Very old fashioned. No option to schedule devices for on/off. Brief yet noticeable lag every time I open the app. Almost impossible to set a device to very low illumination without just toggling it off on the slider bar. Will randomly sign me out of the app now and then and requires I navigate to my email for a verification code instead of a text. It would be nice if you could access the color wheels from the home page instead of having to click thru the expand button and then the color wheels. Would also be nice if there were an option to name and/or rearrange one’s Favorites. The app feels unfinished, nothing sleek or surprising about it.

Sync with Alexa is really buggy

Dfgbesecbh

It’s awesome when it’s working. But then when it’s not it’s a pain in the neck to get it all set back up. I wouldn’t purchase it again if given the choice

Font size

This app opens up on my iPhone in large font size. Unable to navigate the fields without guessing and as a result unable to set up Cync light bulb

Very nice features but underlying issues

You're rut

I’m using my smart bulb in my dorm room so it is nice that this app allows me to control it without it being connected to the wifi. The feature where you take a picture of the lamp and it’s surroundings to create a dynamic image that represents how the current color will make the room look is also cool. My only issue is that ever since they updated the app improving the interface I have had to force restart the app sometimes for it to actually connect to the bulb where it used to always reconnect with ease when I reopened the app.

It doesn’t work all of the time

Crispr cas 9

This app only works when it wants to. Majority of the time it doesn’t so when it does I try to enjoy it for the time being.

Management does not return calls

terencejlewis

I placed a call several times for management to call me back and the only thing I received was an email that my case was being closed. Do not and I repeat do not buy their Cync products. Customer support tries, but is stuck with hardware and software that have not been fully tested. The motion switches are the worst. I am intrigued when I see online reviews that rate the Cync products in the top 10 and in one case number 1. They must be smoking crack and getting paid from GE Cync!!! The light scheduled do not work when set not to come on during the daytime for the motion switches. Three way switch many times don’t work all the time. You have to setup many times till it finally works. Horrible, horrible product!!!

Buggy and annoying

Dunktionary

I need to close and restart the app nearly every time I want to turn my living room lights on

They pay for good reviews

Sweaver383

Just read the reviews. All of them are “I received this product in exchange for an honest review” lol. The app is terrible. “Cync” ruined it. It worked fine before. Return your GE lights now if you just bought this trash. And GE, stop outsourcing your app development to amateurs.

Would not connect to WiFi

Kyley Blint

Wouldn’t connect to the Wi-Fi so I had no way of connecting any devices. Plan on just returning the devices I got.

Geeni Vs. Cync

Taizoki

Slightly better because of controls, everything else Geeni excels in. Lol
