Useless Junk

Have had 4 lightbulbs for a year. It’s clearly a piece of junk so don’t waste a dime on it. I’ve had to call product support 3-4 times trying to get it set up more than once. Product support is as poor as it gets. Chat hangs up on you because no one answers. If you call their number they don’t answer or call back when they are supposed to and then send you a long drawn out set up procedure that doesn’t work after 3-4 tries. It’s no wonder GE is going under water. Developer lies about calling me back. Only has one phone number and won’t use his cell to call. These people are major frauds. Stay far away from them.


Can’t locate bulb

Standing next to turned on bulb, app says can’t locate any devices. Worst app ever!


Glitch?

I LOVE THIS APP, it is so cute and convenient however it keeps disconnecting from my bulb and a friend of mine had the same issue to the point she switched back to a regular bulb. I don’t know what the issue is I am currently re downloading the app now. While this is a review I am also looking for help and info on how to stop this phenomenon.

Look, I’m Gonna Keep It As Short As I Can. As A Tech Enthusiast This Is One Of The Most Irritating Apps I’ve Ever Come Across. As A “Smart” Home Product Things Should Not Be As Difficult As They Are. From Connectivity Issues, To Things Not Working Out Of The Blue. I Hate To To Say It But I Have Other Chinese Branded Bulbs That I Have No Issues With Besides Them Just Failing One Day. But Apart From That 0 Issues. If My Power Goes Out For Whatever Reason, I Have To Connect All My C By Ge Bulbs All Over Again. Plus The C Reach Hub Is Quite Useless. Connected It So Many Times And Still Can’t Add It To The App, Even After Resetting. At This Point I’m Frustrated. Smart Products Are Supposed To Make Things Easier And Fun And Unfortunately This Has Failed To Do Both.


Frequent log outs

Love how once or twice a month the app logs me out for whatever reason, forcing me to enter my login info and then go into my email to find the verification code every time. When I’m standing in my dark room for an extra minute and a half trying to just turn my lights on it makes me question why I ever purchased wifi enabled lights in the first place.


Constant Trouble

Got these from Best Buy a week ago and have had nothing but trouble. Constant connection errors and trouble connecting to Alexa. Wouldn’t recommend at all.

I’m convinced this app has every single color in this whole world! It even has colors in specific, for example my favorites are daylight, sunset and, candle. You can even adjust the brightness! 10/10 would recommend amazing app


I miss the old app

I’ve had the new update for a couple months and don’t like it. The old app made it easier to manage the light settings. This one just adds more unnecessary steps. Not to mention I have to close out the app to even get the lights to respond. Just overall terrible compared to the previous update.


Unable to Add Devices

The app is very friendly with simple UI however I am unable to add any devices to any homes. So far I am unable to get the app to work even with the help of support. I’m sure with the app working it would be a 4 or 5 star.


Makes me log in too much

Sometimes I just want to quickly turn my lights off but the app randomly, and far too often, logs me out and makes me log in AND verify my account. It’s extremely annoying.
