Good but No Bluetooth Refresh Option

CID_X

Currently, there is no way to force the app to refresh the direct Bluetooth connection to lights. The old app had pull down to refresh. Now I have to force quit and relaunch if I go out of Bluetooth range. This is annoying. Besides the issue above, the new app is really nice. Setting up multiple scenes and adding automation is very easy.

No longer works after update

Jbizzle117

Worked great until the update. It doesn’t discover the bulbs when searching to sync. The QR code on the bulb does not register. Talk about a good thing gone bad. That’s all.

Good but…

xwinterdylanx

It works but there’s some problems with it.. Firstly it takes forever for it to load up your just on the opening screen for at least 5 mins which brings me to my next complaint that sometimes the color doesn’t switch to what you want so you have to reload the app which when the loading time takes forever it’s not rlly worth it.

Kinda spotty

Pvt Santana

Works great for a week or so and then all of a sudden half the lights aren’t working… About to just drive back to lowes and go back to regular bulbs. I was super excited about these but they’re more problematic than cool…

Not linking to google or alexa

Cacascaradeplatanooo

I dont know why is not linking to none of my smart home accounts like google or alexa. I put my credentials in (email and password) click next and on google says account “successfully” linked but it does not appear on my home page and on alexa it doesn’t discover the devices. Hope this is just and app or software update issue if it is and my problem get fix i will change my rate

Forcing us to make accounts is the dumbest idea ever.

When you’re going to bed you want to be able to just open up the Cync app and click the lights off. But no, thanks to their update I open up the app to see that I’ve been signed out of my account. Alright, bit annoying and tedious, but wait there’s more! Now I have to verify myself by getting a code from my email. I’m sorry but this is not an app that needs a login and password. It’s now easier to just get up and turn the lights off yourself. No one needs security for their lightbulbs etc.

Junk!!

GzuS that's cool

Set these up initially with my Alexa. However once I updated my mesh system it would no longer connect with my google home at all. The app was no help with trouble shooting. Unless you are some kind of engineer this is not an easy system with your smart home. If you want to have to carry your phone with you every time you enter a room this is the one for you. Going to replace with something “smarter” ASAP. Will not buy these again.

Lights are fickle

Steve Stewart Sharp

Half the time I have to reconnect and relog into the app. Lights have a mind of their own and seem to be programmed (I programmed them on the previous app, but now they just do whatever) to come on and go off, but don’t work with Alexia. Expensive and can’t seem to be turned on and off manually unless I’m at home in Bluetooth range. So. I don’t recommend to anyone
