I have been ordering from chatbooks for a year and a half. I absolutely LOVE the mini books!!!! They are such a great keepsake and they make amazing gifts. However… I tried to make a lay flat book of my wedding photos and I was extremely disappointed. I tried on a desktop, iPad, and phone. I had significant difficulties on all of these platforms. On the tablet and phone, I wasn’t able to select the various photo layouts because there was another button right on top of it! On the desktop, it was even worse. They should also have more layout options for the lay flat book. Overall, I will continue to recommend chatbooks to all of my friends and family for the mini books only! Hopefully they will improve their lay flat book layouts and programming to make it more customizable in the future.

I’ve been trying to make a hardcover photo book as a gift for the last 2 hours and each time photos fail to upload or sync correctly or the app will just cut out entirely in the middle of me scrolling through thousands of photos which ends up in me losing the ones I had chosen, there’s constant errors it’s ridiculous. Their month books are good but for anything more expensive than that I’ll be taking my wallet elsewhere, so many bugs with the app it’s ridiculous

I was just about finished with a book I was ordering for my aunt and mom when all of a sudden the app logged me out. It will not allow me to log in. Convenient since I have until midnight to get free shipping she use a 20% off coupon. Chatbooks get it together and help a stressed momma out!!! Update: I was able to log in the next day. I love the product and affordability of the books. I love that the app reminds me to make them and shipping is typically very quick. However, making my last 3 month books has been quite a trial. I often have the app select photos for me, but do make some edits. This process has been a nightmare. I will go though and select my photos and go to put the final touches on the book and it hasn’t saved. After several attempts, I finally deleted the pictures I didn’t want, made sure it saved, and then closed the app and reopened to add the photos I did want. I have also had problems with 2-photo displays where the second photo does not load. I have tried both on WiFi and on data. I have deleted the app and reinstalled. I have ensured I have the most current version. These glitches have taken what used to be a couple minute process once a month and made it take several hours at times to edit my month books. Pretty disappointed.

I’m leaving this review out of major frustration. It crashed on me 3x. Each time after spending about 45 minutes picking on the photos I wanted for the album. Such a waste of time.
