Provides Services the CU’s Native App Does Not

This app just saved my account when someone tried to use my debit/credit card online. This app allows you to set up real-time texts or email alerts or both. It has a button that allows you to turn off all transactions (except automated payments) immediately if you suspect fraud. When the Text Alert came in that someone was trying to use my card - a charge I didn’t recognize or authorize - I turned the card off in this app. Next morning When I called the CU, they showed card declined 2 additional times. Card was closed as “compromised” & a new card issued. This app is easy to use: create username, password, then enter debit card number associated with your CU account. After your adding your postal code, the app will pull up your connected accounts. You can then set up alerts about transactions based on amount, country of origin of purchase, online or retail, and more. This app shows your recent transactions, alerts/notifications, balance, etc. It works in real time (timezone is based on your phone’s settings) - that’s how it showed me someone was trying to use my card when I was home watching a game - and I was able to turn off the card so they could not continue to use it. The only “complaint “ I have about the app is that it lets you create a PIN to get back in once you’re already signed in, if you have to leave the app to answer the phone, for example, and I wish you could use the PIN all the time to get in.

I love the amount of control I get with the app!!! To those complaining about having to remember your password - I believe it’s an added security measure - the fingerprint ‘times out’ if you don’t frequently access the app. And I’ve never had any issues getting my notifications!

Great app but crashes regularly while checking recent transactions. Needs an update. I appreciate that it supports FaceID
Doesn’t refresh

I love this app, when it works. For some reason it won’t refresh most of the time and I end up having to log into my online banking to see my balance and deposits. It’s super frustrating sometimes. I’m not sure if I’m the only one this happens to, but if it could get that glitch fixed I’d give it five stars.

Not able to use touch ID. Password box does not support paste function. Unbelievable.

I LOVE this app! I watch over our accounts so carefully that this makes it so much easier to keep an eye on them. As with any app, there can be little bugs, but the developer has been great so far in fixing them as soon as they come around. Know your balance when it gets below a certain amount & instant notifications when a charge happens. This has saved me when someone tried to use my card number at an atm & I was able to quickly call my bank, identify it as a fraudulent charge & get a new card number.
Ver 1.0.17 does not distinguish between charges and credits

Previous versions distinguished withdrawals and credits by color and also a credit statement ..not in this version. The transaction only says Posted with the amount and type of transaction. Why remove this?

after having my card # stolen twice on online purchases (in the same week!!) , i don’t go anywhere without this app. i unlock before i pay, soon as the charge pops up (very quickly) i lock the card up. how my # was stolen i’m sure was reusing my info soon as my charge went thru so this app makes that impossible if you lock asap. only complaint is it asking for a 4 digit pin “to make log in easier, use pin instead of regular login”. it has never let me log in with this pin, and every time i have to type in login info it asks me to create this mysterious non functional pin. otherwise, this is a lifesaver and works perfectly, updates fast, works on cell as well as wi-fi. also works perfectly with the touch id on an iphone 6 s plus.

After having my card compromised not once but twice I was told by AFCU that I should get CardNav to protect myself. Now I can tell you that it’s such a load off and total peace of mind to know that I can turn the card on and off whenever I use it. Thanks CardNav, awesome tool for protecting my account.
