Been using them for seven months and have yet to experience an issue with them. Clothes are always clean and they haven’t lost anything yet (famous last words). Love these guys!!

I’m not one to write a negative review but what a trash company. Our local laundromat is closed due to Covid-19 so my roommate and I decided to use Cleanly and share a load of laundry. The drop-off was late by 24 hours. A text was sent out when we were supposed to receive our clothes saying our laundry was on its way, but then got another one 10 minutes later saying it would be a 24 hour delay with no offer of a discount or anything. Annoying, but we are staying at home anyway due to Covid, so at least we could still receive our things. When we got our stuff I noticed everything came back really wrinkly, not just normal wear and tear, everything looked really bad. My roommate realized that they had lost a sweatshirt of his and immediately tried to contact them. After a few hours they responded saying they needed more information from him, which is confusing since he clearly doesn’t know what happened after they took our clothes from us. So we payed a lot of money for our clothes to be late, messy and missing. It just seems like a really bad business


Destroyed $350+ worth of laundry. No refund.

Cleanly completely ruined hundreds of dollars worth of my laundry. They returned all my light colored items (including pottery barn linen duvet and other expensive sheets and clothes) completely stained and destroyed. Customer service? Zero. Their phone line is out of service so you have to email and wait to hear back. I was offered NO REFUND or credit of any kind and I was blamed for all the stains because I should’ve changed the default dryer settings from regular to low!!! Outrageous. They don’t care about their customers and they rip you off with their prices and promises of good service. Cleanly is the absolute worst laundry service you can use in nyc. Take your money elsewhere.

I’ve been using Cleanly now for over 2 years and they consistently do a fantastic job. If you’re looking for a wash and fold I highly recommend giving them a whirl :)


Really enjoy the service

Starting using Cleanly when my local laundromat closed recently. I’ve found the service to be very easy to use, and the laundry is always picked up and dropped off with no issues. The app is also very easy to use, and I have had no issues with it. Finally, I have been able to earn rewards by asking my friends to sign up. A good experience all around.

But cannot get the app to sign-in currently! I want to make sure an appropriate tip is applied to my order (extra given the circumstances of the world currently) would love an app update so I can do this!

Addendum. I was contacted to take this down “because we are having a horrendous time” AND I was asked to apologize for cursing. This on top of delaying my delivery. Losing clothing. Inside out wrinkled clothing. The fact that my laundry was picked up on time but delayed five times for delivery without excuse and with the delay being 7 days. The fact that I had to do all the work to get my laundry back. The fact that the workers on the phone were more “woe is us” rather than anything else. This company is a farce. It is an embarrassment. Everyone who works for this place should bow thei heads in shame and embarrassment.

I am beyond upset with the fact that they lost my items and never found them—and then when I requested to be reimbursed they end up lowballing me— I wish I had read the reviews before I used them.


First Order... delivered half of my clothes.

Beware! My first order of laundry was delivered with only half the clothing (a bag missing). I asked the driver where the rest was, he said he didn’t have it and must be with another driver... makes a lot of sense right? Contacted customer service they said they would look into the problem. Waiting for a reply and nothing... what do I get, an email that’s say we’ll get back to you in 48 hours. You’ve misplaced at least a thousand dollars worth of clothing and almost all of my underwear ?and you think 48 hours is okay? DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE.
