RIP Angie’s

marksroth

This mobile app is mostly useless even though I just submitted 2 projects to receive quotes. Angie’s List used to be such a Valuable tool for a home owner, now it is ruined.

Just a telemarketer

Piece of

I went on line to look for a professional to repair my dishwasher. There were no choices on who you wanted to chose from. It automatically sent a time and appointment with out asking when would a good time for you. I had to hold about 20 minutes to cancel the appointment, which they kept trying to ask why I wanted to cancel. Now I am getting emails and text messages like a telemarketer. What a mistake going on their website

the only thing this service does is send you spam

Signed up to look for a contractor. Few responses from contractors but overwhelming number of spam emails from Angi. Tried to delete my account online but it advised calling support. Called support and they couldn’t find my email address but suggested I call Homeadvisor support. Homeadvisor support told me my account had been deleted but it is in fact still active. If you want the runaround from a terrible company, by all means get an Angi account.

Very unreliable

NCissad

I have tried to get estimates for 3 different problems 3 different times and frankly am very disappointed. Plumbing got 4 companies referred but only 3 responded and the lowest was twice what I paid contacting someone else. Pest control got 3 different companies only 1 responded. Roof leaks got 4 referrals but only 2 have responded! There has got to be something better in this age of technology why are referrals so unreliable?

Poor initial response and then too many reach backs

Didn’t get any quality responses

The star is for the pro, NOT Angi

BoBo Detector

Problems: 1) Can’t find a way to close projects without going to Angi’s website; 2) Even mentioned clearly that I was only at the planning stage and the project would NOT start soon, I still received tons of annoying emails/text messages from pros and Angi; 3) Continue to receive “reminder” from Angi AFTER I closed all the projects. The 1 star is for the pro who helped me completed a project that I really asked for. The star is for them, not Angi.

I used Angi several times so far and it was great experience every time. Thank you Angi

Double charged and no shows

sheri port st lucie

This company double charged my account for the services I requested and 1 of their “pros” did not show up. The “pro” I hired last month was asking me how to do the job, he barely had the necessary tools and was unprepared. Back to looking for good help again

PLEASE don’t waste your money

I bought it because I thought I was paying for a “premium” Craigslist. I wanted to fix a leaky washing machine. After submitting my project, my entire metropolis only yielded a whopping two professionals. One was a flake, another was someone I could have found on google. Meanwhile, Angi has been sending me plenty of annoying emails and the like. Long story short, save your money. Ask family friends. If that doesn’t work, just use Craigslist or google. No monetary value here.
