Easy to use, quick and helpful.

All the calls I got from this app were phony. I scheduled two visits and no one showed up. All the companies I dealt with on this app had multiple business names- sketchy much? Deleting and blocking the ridiculous amounts of texts, calls and emails I recieve from downloading this terrible app.

App is good but HomeAdvisor is not. I had a few projects and they’d have unqualified contractors contact me or HomeAdvisor would spam me with constant phone calls. One time I requested pricing for a patio and after talking to a phone call from HomeAdvisor (spam) they pushed my request out for concrete foundation companies who do not do patios (obviously). Tired of the buffoonery so I’ll use yellow pages, yelp and other reputable sources.

App does not honor selections

I saw the television ad that the app would give me ideas about the cost of a project. I installed the app and filled out a remodel project that I may consider in a few years. i checked the button for not to be contacted at this time. All week my phone has blown up with service companies and handymen. I regret installing this app.

Scheduling

I always use home advisor for my needs around the house. Sometimes have issues with scheduling appts. Times appear to be open but when you click on them they are no longer. Not sure if it is a software glitch or it’s the company’s issue. Still Always recommend them.

Good and bad

Good: Find multiple companies to do the job that is hard to find. I found a waterproofing company that got the job done. Had two others who just patched it up and never fixed the main issue. Bad: Sometimes you get people you don’t want. Meet and talk to them in person and if you are not comfortable then get someone else. Not the fault of the APP that you get a bad company or person. It’s your fault for hiring that company or person. But in any job you get a bad result sometimes no matter what. That is just “karma”

I’ve tried a few times to find pros to do some jobs around the house. The app is a great idea and lots of pros show up. No one has EVER called or emailed or reached out to me to quote one of my jobs. 2 stars ‘cause I like the interface and the concept, just wish someone would contact me.
