Stopped working

At first the list function stopped or froze when on my iPhone Then the app itself kept freezing when I tried to open it. It used to work great. Don’t know what happened to it. I just deleted it.

This app is a pain in the —- it freezes up and have to delete and open up again, I can’t open my shopping list at the store so have to end up writing everything down as before. It doesn’t even rate a 1 but had to rate b4 sending..

Alexa app is declining

When I first started using this app, it worked great. But I have noticed that it is starting to decline in its ability to play music or news flash programs smoothly. It is very glitchy and sometimes is not responsive. I know it is not an internet speed problem as I can play many of the same things...such as Pandora, TuneIn Radio and podcasts from my smartphone without a problem. I have verified that both the Alexa Dot software and the app are updated but still no resolution. If the developer continues to ignore these problems...which have been voiced by many others here...then I think it is worth looking at changing to the Google home system!! Please fix this!

This app is horrible. It doesn’t even work! I can open it but then it won’t even let me click on anything. It’s not my phone, either. Ridiculous.

It freezes on the data network and on WiFi. A hard close and restart yields the same result. A workaround to view your shopping list is to open the Amazon app and click the Alexa circle thing on the top right and ask Alexa to show the shopping list. Even when it worked it wasn’t intuitive. On the home screen it shows the top item on the Shopping List and had a button to View Shopping List. Pressing that didn’t take you there but rather took you to the list of lists. Entirely too many clicks involved, especially considering even in its prime (sorry...) it was so slow that each click required waiting. Only Walmart’s app has a slower backend data interface. But Walmart’s app usually works. So there’s that. Luckily I have a pen and paper handy for shopping lists I actually wish to use when shopping.

Dear Jeff, your list feature is an excellent concept and has made my grocery shopping life a breeze- however, recently the glitches make using it frustrating. The app freezes....a lot especially when I’m running the errands and shopping for recorded items on the list. Sometimes, it’s unresponsive so I can’t add or delete items from a list. Frequently The list feature won’t open in the store. When I’m shopping, items won’t remove even though I’ve deleted. The worst in the middle of shopping from my list, it requires me to re-log into Alexa app and wants me to set up phone calling feature which i don’t plan to use. Please fix the glitches so we can get back to business. Ty

Forces you to share address book to call a single person

I find it really off putting that Amazon forces you to share ALL your contacts to call a single number. There is no technical reason to do so, purely a scheme to harvest more data about you.

This seems to be getting worse and worse. Started out as occasionally glitchy, but now is downright unusable. When I open the app, the whole page is entirely unresponsive. I used to use this app daily for alarms, reminders, etc as a companion for my device.

It’s works needs updates...

Amazon updates their other apps... But where’s the update for iPhone X??? Still no full screen... No update in 2 months... Come on... I love Alexa!! I use it more than Siri because all my devices I have hooked up to it... I will update my rating when they fix it...
