Shopping List quit working, app getting worse

My experience is the same as many others that Alexa gets worse by the week. Just today my shopping list which I have used for months just quit working. The item I dictate to my echo appears in the list and then quickly disappears. The to do list still works. I couldn’t find anything online that would fix the shopping list problem. I use Shopping List more than anything else, and I’m really worried that the functions I got my echo for are not going to work anymore and Amazon doesn’t seem to be listening to customers.
Finally an Update made it work like it should!

After months of not allowing me to control my echo devices this app is back to working. It does what it should and that’s all I need it to do!

I love my Alexa, but this app drives me crazy. Every time I have reload it and now today it wouldn’t even work after I did that. Very frustrated.
Your devs need to fix the lists

My guess is that your devs aren’t using a recyclable list. Instead of Alexa reusing alarms for example, she will create an entirely new one. After a few weeks there will be hundreds of alarms, and because of lazy dev design the entire page will freeze up when it starts to render each element even if it isn’t on the screen. I’m not as familiar with iOS, but you need to use something similar to a recyclerview. In iOS I think it’s UICollectionView. I really hope amazon devs arent responsible for this app, because it is absolutely sub-par.

I’ve used this app quite a bit since it came out...mostly for the shopping list. Lately it’s become almost unusable...the app freezes all the time and has to be closed and restarted and sometimes not even that works. I hope they get it figured out soon because it is one of the main reasons I use the app.

This app used to work perfect .... for whatever reason ... it’s garbage now! Freezes, quits, doesn’t connect to the Alexa device ... needs to be fixed ASAP!

It’s hard to believe that Amazon could put their name on this crap. App regularly crashes and/or completely hangs as in responsive. Setting it up barely works, and it’s unlikely you’ll be able to do it without searching for answers online. Look for anything else if you want to stream music. Just horrible.
