The Alexa app is very confusing. It’s not intuitive. Even after using it for over a year, I still find myself poking around the app never able to find what I’m looking for on the first try. I really like my echoes, but I do not like using this app. Two stars because it’s functional, but I wish Amazon would simplify this app and make managing devices more straightforward.

Your app rating is terrible for a reason. It’s basically useless with limited (if any) functionality. And for gods sake, if I can’t turn off the baby-waking ‘OK’ every time I want to turn on or off a light I am going to trash this device and get a Google Home.

The shopping list feature is crap. I can only open it successfully when I am at home. When I’m in the store, I have to delete the Alexa app, then reinstate it to see the list. Even after that—it freezes again AND BECOMES USELESS.

Permanently disabled Alexa has given me eyes and ears for my home. It’s cameras. Shopping. Weather reports. Tv control and so much more
App keeps shutting off

I love my Echo with Alexa, but the app on my IPhone 6 Plus keeps shutting off. I don’t know if it’s storing too much cache/history or what. Day 1 it worked fine, by day 2 you open the app, and it eventually shuts off and you have to open the app and try to get back to where you left off at. The only other app I’ve ever had this do to me is Google Earth, because the cache/history was getting full. Once I clear it it works great again, but I don’t see anything on the Amazon Alexa app to clear cache/history. Echo with Alexa is becoming very popular, but they need to fix the app that controls it and setup, or your Echo will be useless if you can’t connect devices to it.

Since the last update. The app crashes as soon as I start navigating through the tabs. I’ve to re launch the app at least once to get things done. Amazon please fix this issue.

Your app won’t do anything! How am I supposed to set up other devices when I can’t get settings open on app. App froze and doesn’t work!
The app is totally failing since the recent update.

I have a iphone 7. I cant event get it to open. I first thought it was my internet NOT then blamed my phone NOT. I can no longer even use Alexa ☹️

Obviously from the other comments. It’s not me. Grocery list is my favorite when it works but it is getting more and more glitchy. I love Alexa but the app needs work
