Terribly Designed

The old app UI was much easier to navigate and far more useful. My internet went down, and the app stated my gateway was down on the landing page. Instead of offering anything useful, the notice sits there. No buttons to hit, no actions to take, no process to fix. Instead you have to navigate the automated prompts which also does nothing for you. Absolutely useless application.

Never works

J. Moody

Every video every stream video calls anything involving your internet never works!!! I’ve called several times troubleshooted myself! Some deal You’ve given people in hardship! $9.99/month for Wi-Fi that NEVER works!!!! I’m telling the mayor of Boston that you are cheating her out by making her think you’re helping her people who are on low income! If I can never get through how can I do any work or be there for my loved ones! You just can’t with Wi-Fi that never works!

What does this app do

I find the functionality of this app sorely lacking. I could not add a line to my cell phone plan here.

Huge app for cellular

Forcing customers to download 200mb+ applications to activate home internet is a joke

Bugs and not user friendly

yoterxx

Every time the app is released there are bugs like there is minimal testing done, if at all. This time, I got even more disappointed. Before I could easily see last time device on my network was connected. Now, it states „Last connected...” Obviously text is no longer wrapping, and there is no possibility to see the detail. I use a small screen device. The app is not so user friendly either - Very cumbersome to use. Time provided to pause someone’s devce on the network has only 1 h, 2 h or indefinite option. Why not invlude 4h, half day, full day, or better yet a drop down options? Can you please put more quality into your product before releasing it to the public?

Why do I need two apps?? Waste my time. Sign in errors

Time to invest all that capital and make a centralized mobile app rather than two separate apps. Thanks.

Better than nothing

Xfinity WiFi has a very limited range in my home. Signal strength varies from moment to moment upstairs, with generally good signal downstairs, where the Xfinity gateway is located. The addition of an X-Fi Pod upstairs helps a little, but there are two problems: first, the pod cuts in and out constantly and therefore is quite unreliable. Second, installation of a pod absolutely requires the 2.4GHz and 5GHz signals to be combined, making the former totally useless for cameras and many other IoT devices. I had to install a 3rd party router to get reliable and fully functional WiFi throughout my house. Other complaints I have about Xfinity: cable outages are not uncommon, and service from Xfinity is very poor as well as frustrating. You can spend a lot of time on the phone with people who don’t understand their own system and don’t end up being able to help you. Well, it’s better than nothing and around here there aren’t many alternatives.
