Stop Complaining

I’ve been driving with Uber for a little over 3 years. I have done almost 11,000 trips and over 100 deliveries, and I don’t live in a very big city. I will say that I don’t like delivering very much as it doesn’t pay as well, and it’s not worth the trouble. Other than that it’s pretty good. Sure, the app has occasional glitches, but what app doesn’t? I drive over 40 hours/week at night. I don’t think the rating system if fair, but life isn’t fair. If you like driving it’s a great job. If you don’t like it, don’t do it, or stop complaining so much.


Rating is garbage

Your putting so much hate in the community with your garbage system. We are driving people in real life we can meet same person 2-3 times , your discriminating people to the best specially drivers , in work place shouldn’t be discrimination at all we not doing anything wrong ,, please change rating system


Great App but Have Issues

On my iPhone 12, when running the app the phone gets very hot and the screen dims automatically until the phone cools down. Once that happens there is nothing you can do to make the screen bright again but to wait and try to cool down the phone. It makes very difficult to navigate the app during the day when that happens. Would've given a 5 star review if it wasn't for this bug!

Honestly the fact that a customer can reduce/take away a tip after the delivery is dropped off makes me sick. Tip bating is REAL and Uber does NOT pay enough per delivery so the tips drivers receive are important. CHANGE THIS POLICY. If a customer wants to take away a tip AFTER THE ORDER IS COMPLETED, they should have to contact Uber and give them a REAL reason why. I’m tired of getting TIP BATED. IT IS NOT OKAY. ALSO STOP WITH THE UNREALISTIC PROMOTIONS! My money has been cut in half because Uber is offering crazy promotions that can’t be completed because too many drivers are out trying to get the promotions. I don’t care about getting the promotions. I just want to be able to take my normal amount of deliveries.

02/10/2021: On most recent update, I have (as I’ve done previously) used live screen recordings to identify precise locations where Uber intentionally resets Driver Preferences (a practice which forces us to either accept jobs we KNOW are going to result in a LOSS, or forfeit incentives [consecutive trips] via “declining a trip”). As of 02/10/2021, the very spots where Uber pulled this gimmick— have been rectified! Will it last? Maybe, maybe not. However, since star-ratings, points, badges etc. are the “preferred commerce” for this Technology Company, I gratuitously added a star for this “fix.” ***let’s please end this “surge lock experiment.” — Surge WORKS. We make more. Uber makes more. Period. A large chunk of passengers are MORE than willing to pay 1.5x to 3x (or better) in order to receive reliable service. I find no coincidence in the fact that Lyft has had a substantial rise in overall reliability, earnings, etc. in DFW since Uber implemented “surge lock.” Of the 20+ times I’ve been “offered” this, I tried it twice— it’s VERY clear what’s really going on; what the TRUE intentions are (hint: NEW drivers— you’re the targets! Hit “NO THANKS.” & don’t worry about that $1.03 or $1.22, as you’ll make more by saying “NO THANKS.” This precise game is how Lyft (re: PPZ) seated themselves as a square “2nd” in a few markets where they were actually doing better than Uber everywhere but the airports. So why do as Lyft did? Many drivers have told you of the difference between Lyft/Uber in terms of clientele— do you REALLY want to trade your current clientele for those who expect what Lyft offers? After all...things will eventually return to “normal,” and it will prove more difficult to rebuild the relationships you break and the trust you lose than it will to profit a few percentage points less in the interim and not have to regain that trust— after all, for many, once trust is lost— it is forever gone. Be careful what you wish for...you just might get it! Just saying...?? 01/30/2021: Uber— not that anyone up there cares, clearly, but your clear lack of regard is astonishing. If I were referring to any corporate entity aside from Uber, I may be surprised, alas...this is the same scandal-ridden organization we’ve all become far, far too tolerant of. CEASE DISREGARD OF DRIVER PREFERENCES! It’s COUNTERPRODUCTIVE. If I wanted to deal with UberEats, I’d TURN DELIVERIES ON. Alas, they are OFF. ALWAYS. I’ve never accepted ONE. Stop already. Just as I had enough experiences through a particularly dangerous freeway interchange where you DID NOT reset my preferences— you’re back at it. Stop. Logging me out to the point of requiring a password reset as penalty? This just proves there’s more than enough fools out here accepting your pennies, else you’d change. It is 3:00AM. The restaurants you PUSH on me like a drug-user seeking a fix— ARE CLOSED! Yet you’re clearly happy to steal money from ignorant people who blindly trust your apps! Mind boggling! I suppose I come from a generation that expects better? Regardless, whether higher-opinion I had of Uber is gone. Trip-type settings are exactly that: SETTINGS. In other words— as “Independent Contractors,” we are SETTING the TYPES of trips we are willing to consider accepting at any given time, place, or circumstance. Unfortunately, however, these settings seem not to be respected via Uber at times (specifically: in certain locations & especially during promotions). If we are operating UberBlack SUV, then why on earth would anyone think we would be willing to accept a job at UberEats or UberX pay rates? Please cease the constant tinkering with our settings.


Instant pay needs to be fixed

Unable to cash out .instant pay is supposed to allow five cash outs per day i cashed out one time today and now it says i have 0 cash outs left this is horrible service the app itself needs a lot of work done ✔️ customer support didn’t seem to Understand my issue so it has not Been resolved luckily this is only a side gig


Can the pay get any lower?

Another pay cut, really uber? How low can you go? Down to 2$ for an order now, that is an insult and you should be ashamed for even offering that. But you will still continue cause all your drivers think acceptance rate matters. Guess what it doesn’t and you won’t get deactivated for low acceptance.


Garbage Support

I’ve been in background check on the app for 5 months and have called a dozen times and no one is able to help me. Every time they tell me they did something and to wait 5 business days and it’ll work. I call 2 weeks later w/ same problem, again no resolve. So hence this company is garbage cause they have obviously gotten to big to care about support.

been doing Uber over a year , please fix the app when I need to check to customer order I have to restart the app because it gets funky laggy , I scroll down or up and letter goes away so I have to restart many times to be able to see all the info , very annoying because every week you guys update the app and haven’t fix that for awhile I’m using ios 14 , but it been happening for a long time

When there are QUESTS and you’ve completed all but one Uber doesn’t send that one until the time is up for it. And also PETS there should be a option for customers to note that they have any animals so we as drivers know not to go on any properties with animals because I’m scared of all animals and I had an experience where the animal was sitting in front of the door where I was supposed to leave the food. Another annoying issue is ALCOHOL. The customers are never ready with ID IN HAND upon delivery. I think if we need to be on point so does the customers . Often times someone else is ordering for someone and when asking for the person on the delivery screen they look at you as if you have 3 heads. Please make sure the customers are very specific on LOCATION I’ve often delivered to the wrong person in apartments that has the same set of numbers of what I’m looking for. Customers need to add Name of building if it’s not an HOUSE.
