Entune is pretty useless now

TheRealDoaner

The app list shrinks every quarter, thus making Entune pretty useless now. Toyota jumped on the Apple CarPlay bandwagon too late, IMO. I hope there is an Apple CarPlay upgrade for my 2018 4Runner or an affordable OEM infotainment retrofit with Apple CarPlay from Toyota.

Remarkable

LeConte

It’s remarkable how bad this app is. Toyota should drop it and support systems from Apple or Google. Entune is a failure.

Can’t use

StabyhounDogs

Can’t use the app because it won’t even down load by ether adding the vin or by scanning the bar code. Toyota needs to fix, completely worthless. Do your job Toyota!!!!!

Doesn't do anything

Installed with the hope I could send my fav locations to the car GPS. Firstly it won't pair via Bluetooth, had to use the charger cable, and secondly I still can't send my entune app location favorites to the car system. At the end of the day all this app enables is internet connectivity for the almost worthless apps built into the car, like weather. I don't see the point really since I can access all those same services on my phone at least twice as fast. All other functionality like hands free calling or music passthrough work without installing entune so why bother? You shouldn't.

Horrible app.

Apple car play and I will download again. For now the app is being deleted.

Hardly ever works

This is the worst app I have on my phone. It would be great to actually be able to use the Entune apps on my 2017 Tocama’s radio but cannot because of this app. First like others have said the app will make you re log in about every 10th or so time of using it. Most the time the app won’t even work though, it just will not communicate with my radio. After about 10 or 20 minutes after driving it will sometimes randomly connect. Very aggravating!

Awful 0 stars if I could

Toyota made me pay $160 to update the micro SD card for navigation. But it isn’t much better. Can’t play pandora anymore. Spent $35,000 on a vehicle and the navigation and the app suite isn’t worth anything. Very frustrating. Love the car. But hate the audio. Fix this problem. Etunes is not worth what ever you have spent to put in our vehicles.

Don’t buy a Toyota

MrJSN

I made a BIG mistake buying a new Tacoma back in 2017. I’ll never buy a vehicle without Apply CarPlay again.

Incredibly Bad

Have had Entune on my 2016 Avalon since I bought the car new. It’s terrible! Constantly loses car connection and the occasional updates do nothing other than eliminate prior functionality. Have never maintained an iHeartRadio or Slacker connection for more than five minutes. Dealer and techs are clueless. They have no fix and have acknowledged that Entune just does not work. Foolishly, I paid for the premium version. This is a class action suit waiting to happen—if it hasn’t already! I love my car but will never again buy a Toyota and, you know what, Toyota just doesn’t care. They have screwed their customers and show no signs of changing. Even my dealer’s Master Technician said the Entune hardware and software are terrible and his colleagues consider it a joke!

Toyota should be embarrassed!

Seriously. This thing is useless for a Tacoma. Toyota better step their game up. This thing has like 4 useless features. It will not let u stay logged on. Needs to add a lot of features. I can’t believe they even put this out. Put some things on the app we can use. Toyota is way behind on technology. My 1974 8-track had more features. I will delete. Wasted space. People are laughing at Toyota...seriously who signed off on this ...laughable.
