Lame

Biggest complaint: The app doesn’t remember my login info, therefore I need to log in every time I drive my Tacoma. Second biggest complaint: It’s generally shoddy proprietary software that tries to capitalize on the captive audience of Toyota customers rather than letting them directly use the apps they already use on their phones via Carplay or Android. I don’t appreciate when companies would rather increase corporate profits at the expense allowing their consumers to choose a better product/experience that’s provided by a third party.

It’s never worked it’s ridiculous

Less than one star

This app logs you off constantly and is the most worthless thing you could possibly download. Hey Toyota, FIX THIS!!

Horrible app just like everyone says

I don’t understand why I get logged out everyday sometimes multiple times a day. I also don’t understand how I can sign into my banking app with my thumbprint but not to entune? Can’t be that high security not to allow it.

Horrible is too nice of a word

The absolute worst application to support the absolute worst head unit firmware. If you have ever used an apple carplay head unit, then you will agree this is junkware. Avoid at all costs.

Have the designer never been in a car?

Horrible user experience- Toyota you van do better. Why haven’t you? This is not about content such as iHeart or Pandora which are worthless if you can’t get to them. Wake up Toyota! The app should run in the background, not require login every time, remember who you are, and support touch id. Why even require a login? If the app recognizes the paired Bluetooth receiver? Sad.. Learn how your customers use radio and nav and provide reliable basic functions first. The e-interface is important in todays cars. After 6 Toyotas I will shop other brands after this. User perception affects buying patterns or maybe you no longer get this.

Getting to dislike longer rides in Toyota

Entune is the worst infotainment set up ever! It’s so bad that it’s affecting Bluetooth connectivity. Toyota needs a major overhaul, and very quickly.

Entune in my 2017 Highlander is bad enough, but this app makes it even worse (if that’s possible). It caches your credentials (good) and tries to log in every time you start your car (uh, ok I guess...but why?). Unfortunately, if it can’t log in for any reason (like your phone has no signal in the parking garage or a rural area), it throws your credentials away and makes you re-enter them. Which, of course, you you can’t BECAUSE YOU HAVE NO SIGNAL!! It also jumps to the foreground and pushes useful apps, like Google Maps to the background. When it is connected, it doesn’t do much. You can stream Pandora, but it’s so clunky it’s easier just to use Bluetooth to stream through the app on my phone. Facebook Locations? Does anyone actually use that? Movie listings? Easier on the phone. Basically, anything that you can do through Entune is easier directly through your phone. So - love my 2017 Toyota Highlander. Already have 40,000 miles on it and it’s not even two years old. But in 2019, when I have 60,000 miles and it’s time for a new one, I’ll be looking hard at the Honda Pilot (which has CarPlay) unless Entune has been replaced.
