I was an early adopter. It’s a convenient way to get multi-room if you’re not particular about sound quality and cost. Gen 1 amps were fair and gen 2 are too expensive to try. But all said I use it. I have two connects and two amps. AND, there support is great. Score 3.5.

You rock

Words can not de described h oh w good this app is

One of My favorite things

Luara Dias

Sonos has been a part of my life for well over a decade, I’ve watched it grow from a tiny startup selling out of Tweeters and Best Buy’s to the strong, solid company it is today. Without a doubt it has improved my life experience and that of my family. Sonos will always be in my room. On an aside, thank you for respecting consumer rights.

All good these days

markbyrn

Back in early 2020, Sonos nearly imploded with a shady decision to make older speakers like Gen 1 Play 5 speakers obsolete and force upgrades. It's now 2022 and my 11 Sonos speaker system has become two different systems. My four old Play 5 speakers make up the S1 system and the seven newer speakers make up the current Sonos S2 system. Splitting the system wasn't particularly easy but got it done and now have the benefits of Sonos S2 while still having the use of my older but expensive Play 5 speakers on this S1 app.

Glitchy

sonosearlygen

The app has major problems with consistency and it seems Sonos seems more interested in pushing me to upgrade my hw than keeping early adopters functioning.

App upgrade rendered Sonos useless.

I have 1 year old speakers. They’ve worked so well. This last app upgrade ... now they are all rendered useless.

Stop telling me to download S2!!!

JosephJFK

The app works great, but every single time I use the app, it pops something up telling me to see if I could use the S2 app. I can’t. I know. Stop.

Please stop the S2 reminders; now using ZonePlay

boomlust

I’ve stopped using the native app in favor of ZonePlay. I’ve spent an amazing amount of money on now unsupported devices and I really do not appreciate being reminded of this daily. The 30% discount is not enough to encourage me replacing expensive devices by even more expensive devices, which will be no doubt replaced by Sonos eventually as well for a next generation. If you treat loyal first generation customers like this you create brand aversion.

Great Fidelity

Pitguy369

You can turn this up as loud as you want, and the sound is still great.

Old SONOS struggling to work effectively

cwabwabro

Wish I could rave about SONOS 1, but our system is struggling to maintain regular connectivity.
