Garbage app that breaks Alexa functionality

badkitty_

Sonos speakers have become a struggle rather than a joy. Their software is atrocious. I have five Sonos ones, a Sonos Beam, and a Sonos sub. Everything is bricked and no longer working with Alexa. Alexa no longer responds at all. My skill is enabled and everything should be fine. The usual remedies have not worked to fix it. Sonos keeps breaking more features and I cannot afford to replace my system. I am older and I bought this as a one-time splurge on my frugal resources. I cannot afford to replace it ever. Words cannot describe how disappointed I am with Sonos.

It’s having to be connected through your app. Your app displays its own crap that I did not set up. It replaces my iPod screen with your version. There’s always a delay to wake up the app whenever I want to change my pandora station or skip a tune or rate a tune. The speaker is very good quality and I would have purchased more for the rest of the house but as mentioned, I don’t like running my pandora app and my music app through your app wrapper.

Terrible since SONOS pushed S2!

Used to be great now super annoying since they pushed S2. Feels like a passive aggressive push from Sonos to brick their old but perfectly fine systems. Can’t listen to music anymore through our Play 5+3+1 setup since we got the Arc which requires S2. Supposedly you should be able keep using your old devices with the S1 app but everything got super buggy and flat out useless. By the way we spent over an hour with their support to fix it to no success.

I never would have invested in a full house Sonos...

Second baby

If I had known they had were going to “planned obsolescence” their first generation speakers, I would not have bought them. Whatever you do, don’t buy their built-in speakers! A better option is to just buy their amp and buy your own speakers.

So crappy I’m surprised it’s allowed in the App Store

-_- Sarah -_-

This app can’t seem to connect with key apps like the Apple Podcast app, and also can’t seem to stick with a tune on Spotify, especially when the speaker setup is shared with a TV. I’ll be trying to listen to songs on the speakers that are shared with the open kitchen/living room, and it’ll jump to whatever it wants to play. Truly terrible.

Hello, we love this app here at our parlor. It’s all we use!! It’s the new age of music!!

Used to be great

I have been a user for 15+ years. Have it in my old house and two current houses. Could haven been the biggest fan. The difficulty in accessing my own music stored on the cloud and the intermittent connectivity (e.g., some devices will connect at the same time others won’t and then vice versa) provide much frustration. I’m a tech guy, I get there will be issues but due to these issues it’s time to evaluate alternatives.

I don’t know

chrisbruse

I don’t know how to play with my Spotify and I want to play it with YouTube outside of the app
