As long as SONOS doesn’t require me to upgrade my system.. I give it 5 stars. Imagine spending 2000 dollars on sonos Gear then they make it obsolete. Well... I did buy the dedicated controller for sonos... but it was obsoleted.. 4 stars

I’ve learned the lesson the hard way to wait to update apps till after reading the most recent reviews. I’ve turned off auto update and manually update when the app is either buggy or there are new features Is like to have. With the S1 update over a year ago, the reviews were not good. Most everyone, still, are having connectivity issues. I just recently added a used Play:1 I bought on eBay to my relatively older Sonos collection. In order to add the new speaker to the family, I HAD to upgrade the app. I did so nervously because I didn’t want to start having the same connectivity issues. My current issues were only minor and random and not *really* an issue. So after restoring the speaker to factory default, I had no problem connecting the speaker to my setup. All my other speakers still work fine after the app update. Phew! So no complaints here. I hate that others are having such a rough time. Hopefully Sonos support, if contacted, are of help. I have been super stoked about my Sonos system. I love grabbing my phone on my bedside table in the am and turning on my music before I even get out of bed. I have now five Play:1 speakers, two of which are part of my surround system for my tv, where I have the Beam and the subwoofer. I’m thankful and satisfied all works great even after updating the app. Side note: I’ve seen comments about not being able to play music stored on their phone. I only use Spotify, so that could be a reason I have no issues. My boyfriend, who plays music from his Apple collection has a few more connection issues than I do.

Over 10 hrs ago I invested in my S5 and have progressively bought more and more of their hardware. I knew they were the priciest of the home music networking, but I believed in them and there support, til s2 was launched. Ever since my S1 app is spotty connection at best. Hardware is fine, but app is just that, crap. I’lve purchased my last Sonos prod. I’ll let these get forced into obsolescence & get a Bluetooth speaker & bring back my own hardwired stereo. Thankfully, I was distrusting enough to keep it...
no s2's here
This upgrade removes your ability to listen to the radio through your Sonos. It replaces the radio app with Sonos radio that ONLY works with Sonos 2 devices. And of course, the eula agreement allows Sonos to collect and sell info about its users. We’ve invested over $2,000 in our Sonos system and have watched as they’ve repeatedly removed features to push us to Sonos 2. I have NO interest in having amazon or google enabled devices (yea, I work in IT) in my home. All together disappointing from yet another promising technology company that is choosing to sell out the people that support them.

Always constant problems when it comes to Sonos. Don’t ever unplug or switch WiFi’s , it will cause a long strenuous endeavor. Wish I had returned it when I got it as a gift. $200-$300 is much better spent elsewhere.
Bass In Your Face!?
The Sonos app needs some work. All my other devices connect to my Orbi router automatically after a power outage except for Sonos. Sonos wants you to disconnect your router and reconnect it for something this expensive it shouldn’t have to be this way. So I’m giving it a one star until Sonos gets that app together.
RuRu Tuesday!!
Ok... so when you scroll down to find a song, it goes directly to the top unless you slowly scroll. Sometimes you search a song and it doesn’t show but it’s a thing. Why? Also, whenever you press the 3 dots to the right of a song in a playlist, it says “Remove Song from Music”, and when you press it it doesn’t remove the song like it says so. This app is trying to make you buy the better version of Sonos S1.

Buggy, non-intuitive setup, setup fails multiple times. Now forced to download a new app after 2 years of use. Brutal customer treatment
