Simple has lost direction it seems...

Not sure what the deal is, but the last several app updates have focused on adding features no one asked for, or randomly re-arranging parts of the app for no apparent reason. Meanwhile we seem to be no closer to actual "features" being included in updates like Joint Accounts, 3D Touch, a Watch App, etc. Weird.

Simple Bank, Chime, and several other banks on here's parent company is The Bancorp, which is one of the most notoriously evil company that has terrible customer service and just do not care about their account holders. If you have an issue, it will take at least 2 days to hear a response back. I was unable to access my funds which led to my children going hungry for almost a week, and The Bancorp did not care at all. DO NOT JOIN ANY OF THESE INTERNET ONLY BANKS, unless it's Ally. Just look at the reviews of Ally versus any other bank whose parent company is The Bancorp. PLEASE DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID. PLEASE!!!!


Excellent Modern Bank

I've been a Simple customer for over a year now, and I love this bank! Every time I've had a question I just sent customer service a message through the app and usually within 24 hours I get a very polite, down to earth response. The one time I needed to make a phone call I had a similar experience - just "normal" people and none of the weird mess you sometimes get calling support for other companies. The debit card looks really slick and nice. I've received several compliments from cashiers. The app also works great and I enjoy the goals features. While I sometimes wish you earned more interest I understand that's the trade off for having NO bank fees and I think it's worth it after having been slapped with a few stupid fees at my other bank. I hope Simple continues to grow, and as they add more features and banking products (like checking accounts) I'll be even closer to making them my ONLY bank.

Every time I've had to call customer service, I've spoken directly with an actual person... No pressing '1' for English, or maneuvering an automated maze. Without question, best banking experience in 30 years

I love how easy keeping track of my expenses is with the app! I've been skeptical about going with an online bank, but so far the customer service has been more than helpful if I have a question. I do wish they would add some 3D Touch features. Keep up the good work!

I have been banking with Simple since July, 2015! Anything I needed I contact them! I love the card, the app, the online access, and the fact that there are No Fees! I honestly don't understand all of the ruckus lol but hey! My experience has been golden! I also enjoy the saving aspect! Any, this is just one of my many bank accounts and I have convinced my Mom and best friend to get an account so that we can send money to each other instantaneous ( like PayPal)! We all love it! You can also turn the card on and off! Just dope! Thanks Simple! :)

My experience with Simple has been superb. Yes, they took on a HUGE task of switching processors (once in a lifetime thing) and it wasn't exactly smooth. There are still lingering problems, but they've been very upfront, responsive, and have kept everyone well informed. Even credited accounts $50 for the trouble. I still recommend Simple very highly. Every day they're smoothing out bugs and things should be back to normal soon. UPDATE: All those problems mentioned earlier were solved, and my experience with Simple continues to be smooth and carefree. I absolutely love having them as my bank, and I can't imagine ever using anything else. It will definitely be a bonus when they add on Apple Pay, which they say should be very soon! UPDATE 7/2/15: It's been months since the issues listed above, and I continue to be in love with this company, its people, and its mission. This has been my primary bank for nearly two years, and it will continue to be for many years to come. Switch! You won't regret it. UPDATE: 4/18/16: I'm still with Simple and using it as my primary bank, and have been for years now. I still love it and have no complaints! I won't ever bank with anything else.

Amazing bank with outstanding customer service

Simple is an amazing bank that I would recommend to anyone that is looking to switch banks. Their customer service is the best I've ever received (what other bank sends you a Game of Throne GIF as a response?) and they are mobile first. My previous banks didn't even have a mobile app, or it was only optimized for the iPhone 4S. Simple already has Touch ID and was optimized for the 6 and 6+ VERY quickly after launch. I can't say enough about this bank, but If you are considering downloading their app and signing up: DO IT!

I am very pleased with the app and with Simple. I signed up for Simple after being notified the Google Wallet card was being phased out. Simple seems to be the closest thing I have found to mimic the convenience and ease of my Google Wallet card. I do have a suggestion/request. I love the fact that you get immediate notifications when a transaction is made (just like Google), please take it a step further and add the available balance to the notice. A sound would also be nice too. (I do have my sounds active but there is not one when the notification is received.) Thank you.
