I've had an account with Simple for over a year. I went to deposit my payroll check from the business I am part owners of (I pay myself and my partner legally from the LLC). The check was denied. No big deal. WRONG. SIMPLE WAITED UNTIL I LOADED MY CARD WITH MONEY FROM GOOGLE WALLET FOR OVER $500 then they Froze my account PENDING VERIFICATION. I sent in id and SSN card. This took over a week for them to verify as I was stuck without my cash! Then after verification, they stated that my account will be closed because I used it for business purposes!!! AND I STILL HAVENT GOTTEN MY MONEY BACK BECAUSE THEY SAID thEY ARE MAILING ME A CHECK WHICH CAN TAKE SEVERAL WEEKS!!!! Stay far away from this bank!!! They will take your money. Half of these 5star reviews are fake!!


Good bank

Simple is a good bank with humble beginnings, they started out as a startup on Kickstarter. With crowdfunding they got the doors open and their simple beginning. They are now grownup though, and pretty much national in the United States. They are not as responsive as they used to be and are having some growing pains, but still the best banking solution around for personal use, It clearly states in the TOS you sign this bank is not for business use. Don't sign things you don't agree too and then complain later because it didn't go your way.

I received my card this past Saturday and when I went to set up direct deposit it said I didn't give them the supporting documents within the 30 day time frame. Well, I applied for the card online and got my card within a week, so then I call the 888-243-0632 support number and it's a student financial aid number!!!!! Are you kidding me? I'm cutting this card up before I even get started. Word to the wise....run away fast from this card.


No iPad App

This is not a review of the service which I love. This is a review of the app that in 2016 still does not have an iPad app. iPad users are stuck using the iPhone app which only works in portrait mode and is blown up. On top of that, the Simple website is unusable in Safari and forces the user to the App Store to download the far inferior application.

I use Simple as my primary account and I've never been able to save so much. Beautiful app, great support, and easy features are also a win. Oh and did I mention no fees? I'm just keeping my hopes up for business accounts in the future ?


Anything but simple

This app is anything but simple. Though the concept is good, actuality using this to make bank transactions is confusing. There are few cluttered as to where things are in menus (ex: pending transactions are under the "simple" icon... Which is never explained) Why bother saving money to here instead of just putting it into your own account and get interest? Don't download, not worth it. If it did things like save for you (much like digit) then it would be a FAR better app.

I have used Simple for almost a year. It was GREAT for me until recently, when *every* drive through ATM in the area was no longer in network. PNC Bank used to take the card, for example. Now there is a $3.50 fee. The only places that have no fee ATMs are Walgreens, Target, Kmart, some Walmarts, etc. -- all where I have to get out of the car. I'm not lazy. I like the security and convenience of drive throughs. I may have to switch banks now. I contacted Simple and got a canned response straight from their FAQ (which I already read). Very frustrating.


3 years and loving it

I've had simple for 3-4 years and I love it. It gets better and better as it updates it's app. And customer service is a miracle. I was really frustrated one day because of work and I was trying to complete a transaction at the same time. The rep was so so patient with me at times waiting quietly while I dealt with my crazy work environment. When I got back to him, he was so respectful and understanding, and offer solutions I would have otherwise missed amid the chaos at work. Thanks guys!!! New car design soon? Color ones?


App never works

The app never works, Everytime I go in it, it just has an error message when loading recent activity. I am so disappointed because I was excited to use this card.
