Makes me reset my password for no reason and doesn’t have much info on where I a spending my money

Easy to use with several banking options available.

Ed in Augusta

The PNC app meets my banking need with just the touch of the app. Transfer, zelle, and remote deposits are readily available.

Deposit doesn’t work reliably anymore

Screendmon

This is a fine app outside of when you need to deposit a check. The old versions were so simple to deposit checks. Now it errors under perfect lighting multiple tries. Please fix.

NEED REMINDERS DISMISS

digitald00d

Overall I like this app. Does everything I need to pay my bills EXCEPT this…. I need the ability to dismiss a bill or a reminder just like on the PNC website. I’ve been asking you developers for this for YEARS and it seems like a very easy task. I have my fingers crossed every time an update rolls out but haven’t seen it yet. When in BILLPAY, and it says I have X bills due, when I click on that and it shows me the bills, the only option is to PAY, FILE, etc the bill(s). PLEASE add the option of DISMISS. It could be added to the selection of drop downs or it could be added to the clicked-on ellipse. The reason… Some of these are just reminders and I’ve already paid the bill via the web. SO I JUST NEED TO DISMISS THE REMINDER. Come on programmers, this is an EASY fix and I can’t be the only one asking for this…for YEARS! If you do it, I’ll bump you to FIVE STARS. Thanks (for listening??)

Outdated and not user friendly

Desertcuban

The app feels like it was designed in 2010 and hasn’t been updated since. The overall feel and interaction is very outdated. If you have questions, your choice is to talk to the bank directly. There is no FAQ page or link to FAQs. Overall, I find it cumbersome and clunky.

Deposits

Peter Peter 2022

Before, the app allows you to type the amount the check was written for. Now, The app goes straight to taking pictures of the check…I have tried 20 times to deposit a check.. never got the right amount. Need to fix this. Never happened to me with the previous version of the app.

Stay Away.

From an app perspective, PNC is very buggy. The app randomly resets face id, among other things. I could name more bugs as well as missing features, but first let’s talk about the bank, that is, the service this app provides. PNC bought out BBVA for those that aren’t aware. BBVA owned Simple, an amazing little bank with no fees of any kind and an amazing app/web platform, including overdraft fees. Once PNC made an offer to BBVA, BBVA shut down Simple and quickly forced everyone onto BBVA. BBVA had fees and a poor app/website presence. Before Simple users could even catch their collective breath, PNC took over and again migrated customers. This time Debit card numbers, limits, routing numbers, and account numbers were forcibly changed. PNC has caused severe disruption to many of us. My rent ended up being late thanks to PNC, for example, and there are a few of us talking to lawyers about possibly filing a class action lawsuit. That actually leads us once again back to the app. The PNC app is far clunkier, far slower, and far more difficult to use. If you aren’t a Simple customer and are looking to open a new account with PNC, please note that PNC does not take the security of your account seriously. MFA apps such as Google Authenticator are not supported. They implement MFA via SMS, which is trivial to defeat. To make things worse, they block VOIP numbers from MFA, including Google Voice, which is far more secure than traditional SMS. (also, they use “security questions“ in absent of SMS, which is even less secure.) PNC literally pushes you into scenarios which have known security flaws. SMS is not secure. Yet PNC makes you use it for everything. I don’t say this as a customer, I say this as a developer with more than a decade of experience that is intimately familiar with infosec. The fact they block VOIP providers, who are slightly more secure than a cell phone, speaks volumes. I personally am switching to Ally soon. PNC shows that they don’t care about dragging customers through the mud.
