Not what I expected from Disney

jake462

App is easy to setup but was next to useless while at Disney World. It started out showing me the wait time for the attractions but then I received a notification that the Test Track would be closing early . Then the app closed and wouldn’t let me log in again.

Check in

Cumbersome to use for check and getting the digital key.

Genie pass

Got on app at 7am. The only ride it will give me was at 12:20 other than purchased ride at 10. We had planned on staying at the park only until 1 because of nap time for a baby. We arrived for the LL ride on time to find that we had a 45 min wait in that Lane. We couldn’t stay. We purchased the app and could not really use it. I understand that it is new and that there are issues to be worked through. We have been coming to Disney for over 30 years. We are annual pass holders We have our grandchildren from another state. It was a disappointment.

Horrific app

Lightning Lane/Genius Plus Headache

Disney is nickel and diming it’s visitors for every experience. Used to love it here. Literally the technology and additional fees to skip lines, etc are confusing and sometimes don’t even work. Used to be my favorite place and I’m so disappointed. Walt would be totally disgusted . The executives who decided on all of these changes should be fired. Really upset and not enjoying Disney whatsoever. Don’t come!!!!!!

Too much

Need to take a lesson from Universal

This app is terrible compared to the Universal Studio app. Finding ride wait times and planning your path through the park is a pain compared to the Universal app.

Very Disappointed

Our reservations were messed up. Then we get to Disney park and none of our bands work and now discovered all my preplanning for reservations and fast pass are all gone.

The app has a lot of flaws

It is very inconvenient. I don’t have enough time to share all of the problems but one example is the food ordering. We order. We select a pick up time from what’s offered. We indicate “we’re here” and then the food is ready 50 minutes later and THEN there’s a line 15 people deep to pick up the food. Meanwhile, people can walk up and order and get their food in less than half the time! This is ridiculous. Your customers are beyond frustrated and your employees are frustrated too. The approx wait times posted for rides are waaayyyyy inaccurate—as in off by up to 100%. You cannot plan your day any longer using lightning lane. The “old” way to book fast passes (for free) you could book 3 at a time 60 days in advance. Now you pay $16 a person for the privilege of getting up at 7 am in the day of and scrambling for 1 ride at a random time? It is just not a workable—and not an improved system. We’re long time frequent Disney guests. This is a major disappointment. We have no problem paying for convenience and service but the prices have gone way up and the service has gone way down! We also understand that covid has caused issues with staffing but you’d think that would mean your overhead has gone down…so profits are way up for your stockholders but it’s at the expense of the customer and the experience. Walt Disney would be embarrassed.
