The old app was great- very user friendly, great ease of use, visually pleasing. This new app genuinely looks like a high school student spent 3 hours on their first project in their intro to app development class. It’s such garbage. I can’t even deposit my checks through the app anymore so I’m honestly probably going to switch banks because of this. Whoever was in charge of this change needs to be fired

The layout is cleanish, although the back button moves depending on where you want to go to the main menu and your logo doesn’t fit the screen on my iPhone XS. This new software definitely does a better job with mobile deposits but, I’ve had the app run in the background for well over and hour and then coming back to it, the app still gives me access without password/biometric. On the flip side, I’ve also had to login twice on numerous occasions. 2 1/2 stars.

This updated app is garbage and completely useless. It offers little to no benefit from just visiting the web version is probably worse. It has lots of bugs and is slow. Quite honestly it feels like metro cut corners and put this nonsense in the App Store just to say they have a mobile app for their banking system.

JUST FOUND THE FIX FOR THE MALFUNCTIONING MOBILE CHECK DEPOSIT FUNCTION: I just discovered the fix, at least for me: 1. WHEN ON HOME PAGE, click on Menu. 2. Then click on "Customize". 3. On the next screen, click on "Deposit a Check", then on same page click on "Reset Visibility" and then on "Update". For me, this brought this function back to life. Thank Goodness!! ********************** With this update to the app, the mobile deposit function no longer work on my iPhone X. Very nice phone support person tried to help me but he couldn't find a solution for me - this is a serious DECREASE in service. Very disappointed. SEE UPDATE AND FIX ABOVE!! Also, generally, it is very unpleasant and painful to look at the new home page. It doesn't have the friendly inviting easy to use look, feel and functionality of the old app. It's hard to read. The type is very small. The combination of colors is very hard to look at. The bright startling banners top and bottom are distracting and hard to read and decipher. If you could PLEASE consider reverting to the old app's colors and font and font size, it would REALLY help. Finally, when you click on App Support while on the App Store listing for this App- it says PAGE NOT FOUND!!! Fefinitely does not reflect Metro's actual friendly customer service oriented manner of doing business which I love. I hope this is helpful. Thank you.

The app, previous to the last major update, wasn’t too bad. Now however, the app keeps “forgetting” facial recognition, when you sign in it says “session ended” before even signing in, the app it’s self (internally) just doesn’t make sense. This app is horrible and it’s really disappointing- almost want to cancel all my banking at Metro because of it. I need a bank who’s app is going to be useful rather than an annoyance.

The new app is unusable. It went from a decent interface to a klunky difficult to navigate interface.

App was perfect 5 stars prior to this update of theirs. I could use Face ID, transferring money to outside accounts was easier, everything in general was more straightforward. But looks like someone needed something to do so they overcomplicated the app. Keep it simple.

This new app alone is enough to consider finding a new bank. I recently learned that critical transfers I had set up for years were unknowingly cancelled with the new app. I didn’t find out until I missed multiple payments l. Worse the bank knew and gave no notice. This may sound hyperbolic but Their judgement in rolling out this new product makes me question whether I trust them any longer handling my financial security.
