The new update is horrible. I went from an easy experience to a complete disappointment. It wont let me use face id i have two log in two times because the first time it says it has timed out even if I haven’t been on the app for days . I’ve had to change my password several times because it locks me out even when i just change it. I loved metro up until this update and ive waited months for fixes but nothing, i will be closing my account the hassle it too much and it happens EVERYDAY.

I am in the Credit union via the app. Practically every move I make, even after I have logged in, forces me to get a code via text message to proceed. I think 6 times they asked me obtain the code they will send via text. Too frustrated to keep going and I never did get to the link to verify a newly opened account. This is crazy.
Many problems

First, remember my password and use fingerprint ID like every other competent iOS app. Second, the app freezes if you neglect to select the “deposit to” account, and you have to start over and re-take the photos. When I select an account to view under “accounts” the screen is blank with only a title at the top. I could go on, but why bother.

I live 5 minutes away from Metro. They are actually a really good bank in my opinion and have all the benefits you would want your credit union to have, but when it comes to their app...they had an app update mid 2020 & it went from an ok app to TERRIBLE. They wanted their users to have all the functionalities that they have on the WWW & have it exist through the app but it was built horrendously. I have ended up changing my bank due to this. I would advise you guys to try DCU, been there 6 months and no complaints there.

Nell Hates MCU App
This is one of the most HORRIBLE apps I have ever used. It never functions properly — looking at monthly statements or account transactions is non existent. Don’t even think about trying to make a credit card payment.. it will not work. It will give you different error messages or tell you “failed due to insufficient funds” even though you have way more than enough. This mobile app is a nuisance and a great inconvenience. Your unable to do transactions independently and you have to drive to the bank/atm or call customer service

Just opened a Metro account. So far the app has been useful to go paperless, check balances and confirm deposits.

I loved Metro Credit Union until they changed their app and online banking. App is not user friendly and almost every time I login, I have to call to get my password reset even when I just reset it and wrote it down. I have barely used my account since last year when I opened a personal account where I do my business banking. Hopefully they’ll fix it but it’s too late for me. I’ll be closing my account as soon as I have time to go in person to the bank.

You guys seriously need to go back to how the old app was.. The user inter face had a HUGE downgrade. Several other banks use the okd UI because it was easy to navigate and easy to use. Please change it back I dont want to have to leave MCU because of the app.
