Bought and item that doesn’t fit as described on the app. Plus it’s ripped/damaged. I’m not getting any help.
I had never used Mercari before, but I was looking for a hard to find DoTerra product that DoTerra did not have in stock, but a seller on Mercari had it. So I took a chance and have to say it was very positive. Both the website and this seller kept me apprised of the status every step of the way, and I received the product within just a few days. I have rated the seller 5 stars and also give a Mercari 5 stars!
It’s not user friendly to the buyer. They trick you into accepting the item and will not help you with returns.
I purchased a keyboard that sat in my mailbox for two days. I opened the package, and after about 4 day of receiving it, found it to be defective. ( Two keys didn’t work ) No response from the seller and Mercari support informed me that because I didn’t report the problem in 72hrs, that the ‘case’ is closed. This will be my last time using the app.
I wish I could give ZERO stars. I have been selling on this app for years, Mercari decided to take action on my account and close it due to “violating terms” I contacted them and asked what terms I violated that I was unaware about and they said I was selling non authentic items. Isn’t this an app where you sell things unwanted?! That’s all I was doing. Nothing was “non authentic” I have several orders in process and they closed my account. Meanwhile, these packages are in transit. I can’t use the app, contact the buyers, nothing. They just closed it without asking questions or letting me authenticate. Mercari is absolutely unprofessional and I would not recommend this app to anyone. Don’t even contact support for anything, they are useless. You are better off using Depop or Curtsy. Any other selling app than this one.
Zero customer support! Absolutely pitiful trying to get anything resolved on this app. Better off sticking to EBay! ?
I sell a lot of things on mercari and will continue to do so however I do have a major problem with it. When a package is shipped out sometimes when the money goes through they’ll tell me there had to be a “shipping adjustment” made and some of the money I made from the transaction was taken for that. What frustrates me is that there’s no way two small teddy bears weight 2Ibs it seems very made up for more profit. Also most of the time the buyer has already paid 5$ for shipping and 2 pound shipping is 7$ so why was I charged 8$?? It makes zero sense. If this is going to happen then don’t make shipping cost adjustable have a fixed cost for products.
Love love this app. So easy to start selling your things. I just wish the back end was a bit more organized. I wish I could sort my sales into needs to be shipped, needs to be rated, printed mailing label instead of oldest to newest listing or price.
