Good buying app, but I’m leery about selling on hereagain

I’ve bought quite a few items on here and have mostly had good experiences, but I haven’t sold on here for a long time because of issues with a sale in the past. I sent the items that were purchased, but the buyer said they never received them. The shipping said it had arrived and the driver noted that he left it on the porch. Mercari wouldn’t contact the buyer or let me contact them and just took their word for it. I lost over $50 plus shipping on that sale and never got the package back. It was very frustrating so I haven’t sold on here since. It is great that the buyers are protected, but sellers aren’t always protected.

They will complete terminate your account for mentioning other sites or social medias. WOAH what is that!? You sold something but your account has been banned for a unknown reason seems like you won’t be getting your money! MONEY!? WHAT MONEY?! MERCARI where we HATE our SELLERS!

I have a lot of great experience both buying and selling on this site. The website is very informative about the items being sold. They also give a buyer protection plan to prevent items from being sold that don’t meet the description of the seller. My only complaint is that even when you give an honest description, and you place a really reasonable price on a name brand product to avoid authenticity, because of the extra cost. Macari always sides with the buyer when they use this excuse for wanting to return. Coach will not authenticate any of their products and if A receipt is present from the purchase I feel the buyer should have to keep the purchased product. That’s why I have stopped selling on this site. I said no returns as is , placed at a really reasonable price. Sorry I just feel there are too many loopholes that give the buyer means of returning, even when they change their minds. They can use any of the other excuses to return. Other than that it’s a great way to buy and sell unneeded or unwanted merchandise. And a great place to purchase things you may need. The shipping is sometimes alittle high. It sometimes pays to buy from other sides that offer a smaller shipping rate.

I Varif iced my items online before my purchase and sells which got good reviews and mercari held all my funds before any products were received or reviewed. Once my buyers received their items everyone is happy and I purchased mine from a physical store with proof scam

I was selling and buying until one day I stopped. When I wanted to start back up again I wasn’t able to access my account again, so I made a new one and I wasn’t able to post anything new because my old phone was registered in the account I couldn’t access. I go ahead and contact MERCARI SUPPORT and I was told that my phone number was removed from my old account. I wake up this morning to find out they closed my current account to. So now I have nothing and no one will reach out to me. I’m never using this account again. And if you happen to stop using it beware because it will get closed.

My account on mecari got hacked which allowed for someone to purchase overpriced Pumas. When I asked to receive a cancelled order from the person who were selling they continued to go through. I then contacted mecari about the situation and received one response. That I would be transferred to their financial department, which I have not received any information from them. It shows how truly easy it is to hack into the accounts of this app. It also shows how unimportant their customers are.
