Terrible

Rack up “Lime Points” for no apparent reason. Customer service is next to non existent Glitchy map / app Scooter tops out at 15MPH. I’ve seen loads of other scooters zip past me Already raised the price from 36 cents a minute to 39. All this and I’ve only used like since mid October 2021.

Poor App UI, broken bikes, and unresponsive customer service

While traveling in Berlin my partner and I decided to rent Lime bikes for the day via the group day pass, using the app for the first time. When I went to buy the pass, my phone crashed and in a rush to meet friends I must have purchased a one person day pass by mistake. We go about our day renting bikes (encountering several broken lights (illegal to ride in Germany) and flat tires) and accidentally rack up 75€ in fares for my partner (!!). There was no notification at the end of each ride letting you know what was charged, so we had no way of obviously knowing one bike wasn’t covered by the day pass When I contacted customer service to see if they could retroactively reduce the fare, they would not be work with me and did not respond to my specific questions (they copied and pasted a policy and gave me a discount on my next ride as a “courtesy”). 50% off my next ride is not helpful when my day of bike rides added up to the cost of a rental car. There are so many bike share app options - don’t waste your time with Lime

PLEASE NEVER DOWNLOAD THIS APP

I would give zero stars if I could! I recently tried to use a scooter and only AFTER unlocking it I noticed that the front wheels were broken and the throttle was also broken. This made it so that the scooter goes top speed almost immediately on a broken wheel which nearly threw me face first onto the asphalt. When I tried to lock the scooter (I had only gone about 10 feet) thé app kept crashing and I could not te-lock the bike. It took almost 15 minutes for the app to come online and I was charged nearly $8 for a bike I could not use at all. When I reached out to customer service all they offered was an apology. When I told them I wanted a refund they gave me back (wait for it) THIRTY NINE CENTS. If the lime scooter nearly costing my my front teeth wasn’t enough of a deterrent, I will NEVER use a lime scooter EVER again.

But, honestly, I have no idea what the hell you guys are smoking, but the last update to the application is absolute trash. The previous build was already cluttered up enough that you could hardly see the map, way too many things on screen that you couldn’t minimize or close out. Now, amazingly, the app has doubled down on the amount of garbage blocking view of the map, and even threw in some random complimentary scooter selections within the app. Y’all need to get your isht together already, the amount of money you guys burn on not collecting all the damaged scooters strewn about town, you could probably hire a couple competent software designers, just a thought. Oh and looking forward to using my 5k+ Lime Points sometime before my 60th birthday.

Dead battery is expensive

I ran the battery out almost immediately. Walked with it for a while looking for a bike rack. Then was charged $7 for 1 mile ?
