Don't Sass Me

Set an alert for the trip you want to take and stop obsessively checking rates. Hopper sends you notices through the week with “wait, prices will get better” or “we think this is as low as you’ll see, but now”. It’s so easy and makes life a touch less stressful.

Hopper will steal your money. They are the worst third party booking service I have ever utilized. There is no customer service line available if an issue arises. The only way to communicate is through a message portal on the app. Their terms and agreement disclosures say they are bound by the hotel policies. But if that was true, they wouldn't have charged me for the entire stay when the hotel cancellation policy clearly states that if the reservation is canceled within a 72 hour window you are consequently charged for 1 nights stay plus the applicable service fee/tax. Hopper charged me the for the full stay to include taxes and fees for a grand total of $938. If I could give 0 or negative stars I would. I made a reservation at this resort and paid in advance. Unexpectedly 3 days before our trip my kids got sick. I asked to change the reservation dates as I was unsure if they had Covid and the merchant refused to work with me. They said that I could cancel and only be charged for one nights stay per the hotels policy but that was my only option. I provided them with the necessary clinical documentation from my doctors visit. After going back and forth with them explaining that we could not travel because I did not want to be responsible for the spread of Covid I received no further assistance. It's beyond me why a resort or third party merchant would promote traveling while sick especially during a pandemic! I can only imagine what the resorts sanitizing protocols are or if they are even being followed. It seems that the merchant is money driven and they have no consideration or empathy. They cannot even abide to their “supposed policies.” I am currently in a dispute with my credit card company over this situation. But this has been a nightmare of a ridiculously drawn out process. Customer service should be a bigger priority for them. Profits appear to be the only thing that matters to this merchant even if they have to scam people out of their money. They are unreachable and impossible to work with and willing to do whatever it takes to rip people off. There is so much of a back and forth blame game between the hotel and Hopper the cited policies hold no value. They refuse to offer any sort of refund/compensation for services that were never rendered. They can’t even take ownership of the scam that occurred.

Predatory practices DO NOT USE THE “PRICE FREEZE”!!! Do not expect a refund ever!!! Do not bother trying the phone numbers for their so called customer service its a recording no one will answer, ever! Even emailing them does no good! I have decided and anyone else who has had issues with refunds contact consumer affairs in Canada and the attorney generals of New York and Massachusetts.

Amazing App if you’ve never booked a trip before

I just planned my boyfriends whole birthday trip on this app they made it so easy to book the tickets, hotel, and the rental car !! Will definitely be using in the future for all my trips. Plus all the added benefits like price freeze and price watch!!! Would recommend to just about anyone !!

Why can’t I contact support

The app has so many issues when I try to use it. I have had the hardest time trying to book a flight I had a freeze for. I can’t contact anyone directly in regards to the technical errors and I have been charged entirely for a flight after completed booking without getting a confirmation. I am contacting my bank for a refund and to launch an investigation into this company because there’s no way this can be a legitimate business with their customer service.
