I’ve had my Harmony Hub and remote for an uneventful four years that worked fine. I just decided several pieces of A/V to 4K and when I tried to revise my remote and hub, it’s been a complete disaster. Where do I begin: First, Logictech eliminated the web-based tool I originally used to set up my system. Now they expect you to rely solely on the iOS app. There is no customer service number or even chat support from this company to help you. An unacceptable concept as we approach 2020. Whomever approved putting the latest app into production should be help fully accountable. IT DOESN’T work! I’m a degreed engineer an even tried to manually add the IP Address and manually enter the hub. The app enters an infinite constantly asking you to log in. I get the sense they’d rather have you buy their latest equipment rather than provide support. THIS IS HANDS DOWN THE WORST CUSTOMER SUPPORT I HAVE EVER COME ACROSS. Hey Peter - before you try your B/S reply to have me e-mail you and your supposed “tech support” - let the record show I’ve already e-mailed everyone with NO RESPONSE! #Logictechsucks #logictechishorrible
If I merely want to change the volume, I have to hit Devices -> AV Reveiver, then side swipe 4x. I get having to select which device, but not why Devices are presented first, nor why they decided if all screens for an AV receiver... volume is last. The first screen to sideswipe of my Harmony app is... a number pad. Because yes, that’s why people are always reaching for their AV Receiver remotes... to use the number pad. The app is bad enough to make me put the Harmony receiver up on eBay. Dealing with 4 remote controllers is, surprisingly, *far easier* than this app which was supposed to consolidate things.
The entire software team needs to be fired. Very tech savvy person here. The software can’t connect with the hub no matter what was tried. Reset hub, Static IP address reservation, etc. Do yourself a favor and find a competing brand. Maybe hurting Logitech’s bottom line will wake them up.
Don’t know what happened worked great until this update it seems. Now my Xbox and Onkyo receiver don’t respond half the time to commands. Didn’t move hub or ir blaster either.
This thing is junk! I bought a new router and it won’t allow me to change my WiFi password. The app and the remote are absolute junk even before I upgraded my router. This company is a joke and needs new leadership.
The app’s widget doesn’t support dark mode. Would be nice for some Siri Shortcuts or HomeKit integration.
I’ve tried for hours to set this hub up (Harmony Elite). It loses connection and will never reconnect. The hub light remains green (connected to WiFi), but the app loses control and won’t reconnect (spinning circle). You’d think in this day and age this type of stuff would be fixed after so many complaints.
How can Logitech just ignore a 2.1 rating on their app and ignore it. Why isn’t the app held to the same standard as the remote. My big gripes are - no portrait mode - no custom button layouts Please re-write the app.
The app is basically unusable because key components are non functional. Cannot login, cannot change settings cannot manage cable box. If you want to turn TV on and off and change volume this is the tool. Other than that it’s useless.
