Incredibly poorly made app/product

Apefragments

I rarely leave app reviews but this app/product is so awful I feel it's my responsibility to warn others. It just doesn't work properly. I have spent hours configuring various 'activities' within the app to do things like turn on my TV, change video source, and raise/lower sound bar volume. These activities rarely work well, and frequently only part of the command will run, resulting in a situation where maybe my sound bar turns on but my TV does not, but harmony now believes both devices are on, so I have to go find my old TV and sound bar remote controls and manually sync everything up. When I try to control harmony via my Google home mini speaker, you need to be perfectly specific with your commands or harmony will not understand them, but harmony sometimes will just tell me that it's 'refreshing my account' instead of doing what I asked. This app and product have made my TV experience vastly more complicated and I'll probably end up throwing it all in the garbage. I am a software emgineer for a living, the people Logitech has working on this should be ashamed of the work they've turned in, it's a truly abysmal user experience.

Why does it always lose connection?

Bluscreened

I hit the app, turn on my activity, then once it's on, it immediately loses connection and I can't even bring up the guide for my TV. I gotta yank the power and reboot it. The thing will work perfect for a few days then have issues again. Crap product.

Bad App Performance

Covert Rain

For such a great remote this is a horrible app. Had problems with setup and had to repeat several times. Even though my device is on the same network constantly being told I can’t edit activities because my device is not on the same network as the device. Simply awful app. The elite remote itself does need some feature updates. Should have protocols for faster speeds and needs voice control. Other than that it’s a fantastic piece of hardware! Having said that they need the same caliber attention they put on hardware design with the software. Devs you have not done a update in two months. Please fix!!!!!!

Not good

I hesitated to write a negative review of this app. I was hoping to get an update to fix the issues. Example of the issue; I used to be able to just keep my finger on the volume button to either raise or lower it to my liking. Now I have to keep tapping it over and over and it’s much more slow. Not good. This has inspired me to look for a different universal remote/hub

Works great, when it works

dp421685

Works great when it actually connects to WiFi. Ive been trying to edit some activities and whenever I do so, the app prompts me to be on the same WiFi as the hub, which i am. The odd thing is I can sync to the hub so not sure what the issue is. I’ve tried unplugging both the hub and router and still no avail.

Cache Issue - Had to restart App to fix

mac152423

App wasn't able to connect to the Hub. Was fixed after I deleted and reinstalled the App.

Updates are required

Logitech has great products, but everything that depends on some app to work becomes terrible, not even upgrade to iPhone X was still possible. Will the App support the iPhone X or will the Harmony hub become obsolete like Harmony link?

Works great

Update: I have purchased a second Harmony set up for my basement. Works great. But I wish the stupid app was better. You need to have the option to show multiple hubs on screen so I don’t have to go to “switch hubs”. Have a split screen with at least 2 hubs. Which ever one you power on, it changes to that individual remote. C’mon guys. Less clicks is more. I am amazed. I have had all versions and costs of Logitech remotes. This is the least expensive one I've ever had and the best. The app is lightning fast, it works far better than my $400 Harmony One. I will be buying a second one for my man cave.
