Setup is the worst

I wish there is an option to setup device manually by scanning than waiting for x minutes for the app looking for devices.

This app is a joke. Literally this is my first review for an app. The developer has no clue or purposely being ignorant. When you change the setting in the app you expect it will applied after you click save and let the app do it’s job. It’s not! It just going nowhere or somewhere depend on its crazy mood. Sometimes you have to restart the app to see the changes. And sometimes it won’t change at all even though you try and try again. BOTTOM LINE: UNRELIABLE!

The wifi itself is alright, but the app is horrible. There’s no way to access settings from a computer like most WiFis, you HAVE to use the app. It randomly signed me out and doesn’t recognize my google as the one that set up the wifi network so I can’t access the settings for the network even though it’s online and connected, and the app is stuck in an eternal loop of searching for the network and asking me to create a new one even though I’m already connected to the wifi.
I expect more from Google.

Google usually has great products. Been using drive and photos for years. It was time for a new router at home, thought this would be a good and trusted name. The hardware is fantastic... the app is complete garbage. Hardly ever works without force closing it. Hard to find things. Can’t customize anything. I understand their approach was set it and forget it. Well that’s good for some people... others not so much. Google needs to get this app together and quick.

When it doesn’t work there’s not much you can do. I haven’t had internet all day, partially due to an outage but the outage has been over for hours but the mesh network is hosed. Is it related that this app updated last night? Who knows — I can’t get the wifi points to connect or do anything.
Priority Time Lengths

Great app and devices. One request though: please add additional time lengths for prioritizing devices. Currently the options are just 1, 2, and 4 hours. However, I’m working from home and would like to be able to select 6 and/or 8 hours as well to cover the full work day.
WiFi is working but with no management web page I have to rely on hope

I am surprised there is no direct management UI web page for the router. This scares me for the day where I have to troubleshoot or fix a connectivity problem. I wish I could filter out even devices connected by wire, by MAC address, instead of only WiFi devices. Not a lot of thought for wired devices, as they don’t even show up in the app. So far things are working okay and setup with the app worked fine... but if I knew there was no direct management page, I would not have purchased this. Now I feel I spent too much and instead of enjoying the product, I feel like I was duped.
App says Wifi offline

This app worked for 1yr no issues but now continues to say my network is offline but yet it is online. I have removed my account and added back. I have unplugged and plugged back in. Cannot use app at this point.

App doesn’t work. Keeps displaying as some of my routers being offline. But they are not. Doesn’t let me control them through the app as well.

This thing crapped out on me and now the app can’t find the WiFi point, which I have connected, turned on, and sitting RIGHT NEXT to my iPhone. Scanning the QR code on the back of the device returns an error message.
