App is Garbage and has been for over 5 years

nonobobobobonono ono obo o o o

This app is not functional to say the least. Nothing ever loads. The stupid functionally of not being able to swipe back, products never loading properly, sorting correctly, and the shop is just a mess. This app has not in the past 5 years I’ve had this app, EVER CHANGED ANY FUNCTIONALITY. IT SUCKED THEN AND ITS STILL GARBAGE NOW IN A WORLD DOMINATED BY APPS. THIS ONE IS BAD FOR A “tech” company.

Misleading Availability

JacyBates

The app is easy to use and easy to read. However, the in-store availability options are misleading; when I was checking for items in store before I went to do some trade-ins, the app said my store had a particular item in stock which, in fact, was not in store. The person at the store said it happens a lot, so I’m writing a review in hopes that the app developers take a look and use it to work on the app. In short, when checking in-store availability on the app, call your store to make sure what you’re looking for is actually in stock because the app is wildly misleading.

I have a iPhone 6s the app normally works great for me but for the past week has not been letting my search games and will not load anything

Good app

This a good app I would have gave it 5 stars but it severally needs a landscape mode for people using iPads. I will give it 5 stars when they give it landscape mode.

Terrible online store

I tried to place an order for a playstation gift card. The card had more money then the the playstation card. I only had the gift card entered but i got on error that my credit card was not up to date. And if its not that error, it tell me the transaction failed; clears my cart and kicks me out of the checkout. They clearly don't care to even make a even half way decent store. A waste of 10$ and 30 minutes of my time. To anyone looking to buy a game/ gift-card, go to Amazon or some other online store that actually care, and is made with some competence.

Abysmal for 4yrs

0/5 if possible. I write this as a former employee and as a consumer. I’ve used this app across (4) models of phone: Samsung Galaxy s6, iPhone 6, 6+, and 8+. Even using it on my in-store iPad the dependability of it was about 60-70%. This thing is a car crash in slow motion. About as bad as the main site prior to its overhaul in late 2017. While prettier and faster, it still can only cover up just how bad it is. Pros - The only functionality that’s consistent on the app is bringing up a digital version of your card to be scanned at checkout and the occasional coupon redemption/scan. Cons - GC redemption at checkout via the app is spotty. Only sometimes shows deduction of amount from total, whether products are digital, physical, or a mix. - Website caps GC redemption at (2) cards but on app you can do (3) at least. There’s no cutoff notification. - When logging in it doesn’t remember anything you set up previously, such as preferred console, preferred store, etc. There’s no point in setting that up. - Instead of actually loading current deals sections in-app, it sends it to safari or your browser of choice. If you try to add additional filters at that point, it botches the deals listing and throws in everything that can fit the selection. - Promotional images aren’t even applied properly on some slides, so it looks poor graphically. - Certain pop-up notifications that happen at the bottom of your screen have no visible close button. You end up reopening the promotion in safari several times before you can actually close it. These are all just things I found just reinstalling it THIS MONTH. Over the past 4 years? I’ve lost count. I give credit to devs for working as hard as they do to keep up with corporate’s constant bombardment of crap, especially during the holiday season. But honestly? Save yourself the headache and screenshot your Pro card or add it to Apple Wallet. Same goes for your coupons. That’s all that the app is good for. You’d also have an easier time using the website than trying to utilize a mobile tire fire. It’s the lesser of two evils.

Trade credit issues

Yes, so when you open the app at the bottom right is a tab that reads rewards. And when you tap on it, it takes you to your powerup rewards page. In the middle on the right side of the page right over top of the tab for gamerinformer that reads view latest is a tab that reads card details. Now when u tap on that tab it opens up your card details like, membership status and account number. So at the bottom of this page is a message that reads(want to have easy access to your trade credit? Provide your membership card pin). And when u tap onto the message it takes u to another page. So on this page it shows the back of a physical card where u would find the membership card’s PIN number. And under the card is a symbol and the words enter membership card pin with 4 squares under them. And under the squares is another message that reads (I don’t have a pin). We who have the digital cards don’t have a pin to enter so how can we have easy access to our trade credit when we don’t have a pin? That part of the app needs work cause even the store workers and the GameStop help line have no answer on how to help me access my trade credit. In store they didn’t even know how to put the trade credit on my account. They gave it to me on a trade credit card. Please update that part of the app so it’s easier to add and access trade credit on the digital cards. Thanks?

Customer Service Unaccepatble

Ordered gaming system online and decided to return it back. GameStop received it back over week ago. Still no refund back to my credit card. Called customer care and issue still not resolved. Email went unanswered. Never again.
