Firware 1.0.11 is required for software 2.0.1

Go to Settings, About FLIR ONE, Firware update, Check for Updates Now to update your firware from 1.0.10 to 1.0.11 and the 2.0.1 software will work great. It took me three attempts to successuly update my firmware do to update error messages during the process. After each error messge, I reset my iPhone and tried again. The product is excellent with the latest 1.0.11 firmware and 2.0.1 software. Administrator please remove my prior 2 star review.

I found out how to down load updated firmware. My version was 1.0.8. Took three uploads to reach the current version 1.0.11. Now More reliable. Others below explain how. The FLIRONE team helped me fix an earlier poor reliability problem by suggesting the firmware upgrade.

I know the device and app combination are really ground breaking. But the image overlay is just a bit off. I have tried moving the camera to the side a but but it is apparent that the images are lined up in software. That means this is an issue that can be fixed with a new version. I will amend my review once that has been fixed. Past that I think locking color palette would be a great addition. I am very excited about the charging feature. I almost thought it would not charge because it was at 100% for about 5 minutes while I checked it periodically. But it finally blinked into charging mode on the iPhone. Thanks for that feature guys :) Fantastic tool. Pretty good app. Keep up the good work guys.

First let me start by saying, I was not sure about this buy. However, over the course of using this device I have found that it works very well. I am sure that each buyer has their on reasons for their purchase. Keep this in mind; you did not spend a thousand dollars, so don't look for a thousand dollar device. I can say you will be blown away. I can say it works in low light, low visibility (rain-light smoke-dense wood lins), high visibility (day-office setting so on), fog, works great at speeds 5mph or less, works great in one hand operation even better with two and distance I have tested is about 100 yards while moving! Worked like a charm. It's worth every penny.

Great app, have always been fascinated by concept of IR photography but never had cash reserves to justify the "toy". App and 2nd generation FlirOne device make a great combination at an affordable price. Looking forward to what FLIR will bring us going forward.

Watermarks all the photos

The apps leave a large FLIR watermark on every photo. When you are paid for something you should not cripple the product in such a way that your customers are forced to give you free marketing.

Great but needs a few tweaks

Great app, I'm happy they consolidated all their apps together into one, very easy to use app. However, they really need to add 'black hot' as a color palette option. Second, they need an option to easily turn off MSX, and be able to turn it off while looking at the viewfinder, not just as an edit option after taking the image. Currently, the only way is to put tape over the visible light camera lens. In any case, both can be easily added through a software update, so please do :)

An exciting watermark on every photo

Just imagine how great it would be to have an apple logo on the upper left corner of every photo you. Well you can't have that but you do get an exciting FLIR logo on every photo you take with your inexpensive FLIR camera!

App and camera are awesome but even when the app is closed and removed from my background, the battery lost nearly 1/2 its usable and standby life. I deleted it and back to normal.

I'm a General Contractor in the NJ area and read about this product on the NJ Fish and Game website. Had the unit for one day and was able to locate HVAC ducts, water lines and drain lines behind existing sheetrock on a kitchen project. The amount of time and money saved from just knowing where these lines where paid for the unit in one application. Can't wait to use it this hunting season.
