Great app to go with alarm system

I wanted a alarm for my truck that would let me know via my iPhone if it went off. I went to a highly recommended shop, and this is the system they recommended. Works great and as I expected. The only thing I haven’t had work is the code reader. Doesn’t bother me though.

Hi guys, can you guys add a Siri shortcut to turn on car or lock doors etc. super please. Everyone has it bust this app. It’s not that hard. I created some, but it has a problem clicking the button to turn on car. That’s where this app can come in. Let’s do this! Super please!

No call back and no customer service

App hasn’t worked properly from the beginning. Customer service says they will call back and never do. Constant error message even though I’m logged in. Battery low message after battery is dead, and constant low battery alarm notifications even though that feature is now turned off. Wish I never got it. Device keeps draining battery even though I run my car every other day. Don’t buy!!

I’m fairly disappointed with this app and the SmartStart system. I park my truck in the same place at home and work every day. If I’m lucky, the app will start my truck 50% of the time on the first try. Very often I get an error message saying my truck has poor cellular coverage. If I try again, it will eventually start. Then the app will show my truck having good cell coverage. I’ve emailed the company several times to get assistance. That too is a frustrating experience. I get automated responses saying someone will contact me in a few business days, but nothing happens. Now I’m coming up on the renewal period. Trying to decide whether the renew and hope they improve the system, or just walk away from it and write off the cost I have already invested.

Hi! I had before Directed, Drone Mobile smart start was great! Till I get problem with electronic system. 2 days ago I install Clifford remote start and Directed smartstart! So far I not rEaly happy with my decision. About Directed I like to say my opinion: definitely need to upgrade! I can't see in dashboard if my door or engine open or running. I like to see in Directed picture my car like had in Drone mobile! Dashboard Directed show nothing like that! Info in dashboard about timing need to change the color.White barely can see! And most to add more sound like when you open doors or start engine! C'mon guys you good brand system! Start working with more upgrades what ppl asking! Like I said before so far I'm not happy with Directed and filling like i did wrong decision to switch Drone!?i hope you change my mind soon! Or after wild I'll go back to Drone! Also I like to add more comment:2 days ago I write my comment still no post yet, at my location map show wrong address! This app is death! When I do some action with remote key no signal at all! Try to hit my car,any warning or message from Directed either

Car starts only half the time on the first try. Often have to wait for it to time out and then push start a second or third time. App is unable to send emails for help even though it appears to be set up like it could, when I was able to get the information into my personal email the Company is completely non responsive to emails requesting help to resolve an error that prevented me from using the app. I will not be renewing my membership next year. Not even worth the basic membership price. I will be looking for alternatives.

I got to admit, the app and service have worked well for us for the past two years. I do not think we ever had a problem accessing the app or remote features. I also think it’s priced competitively with other apps.

Such a failure for years and years and years. I can’t believe I’ve put up with this product. Don’t make the same mistake as I did in buying a SmartStart. Barely works. Intermittent and unreliable. Nothing to do with cell coverage or Verizon coverage of the cell network that smartstart uses. I see the antenna strength on my phone and also in the directed viper app representing the strength of the signal that the smartstart sees. Even when both are full strength the starting and door locking or unlocking are completely unreliable. It is such junk.
