Can’t connect my camera to my iPhone 10

I’ve been using this app for over a year not without an issue. Now all of a sudden my camera can’t connect to the app. Which is mind boggling to me. I know recently apple did one of their famous updates. That’s more than like the issue. Can their be an update for this app ASAP? Because I believe at this time it’s not compatible with the update. I just used this app a week ago without any issues.

When running iOS 12 with iPhone 5s, this App works fine. When running iOS 13 with iPhone 8 Plus, the app doesn’t connect to the camera at all. We tried many times with zero success. You would think Canon would fix this, but they have not.

For reasons passing understanding, Canon requires the camera’s user to allow location tracking to connect the camera to a phone. The connection is local via Bluetooth, so Canon has no need of this info. They just want to track their users.

Doesnt Work For Videos

this app is really good if you’re looking for something to upload your photos. it does it without any hassle and is very convenient. but it does not export your videos which is the main reason i downloaded it. huge let down and now i don’t have any way of getting my videos onto my phone without spending money. disappointed and confused on why it doesn’t do both.

I have used other companies, and I can tell you, for this kind of functionality, there is no close comparison. In fact, it was one of the reasons I switched back to Canon from Sony. Yes, that’s dramatic, but it’s true. My work flow is so important. It’s the difference between focusing on a customer, or fumbling with my tech. To get the best put of the app, while you are connected, (if you want to ha e permanent connection, turn off your sleep/screen lock off.

I have been using this app for well over a year and before, it was excellent. Suddenly, after updating my iOS operating system, it will no longer read pictures. It will connect and allow remote operation, but you can’t see the pictures taken. Really? This is 2020. We can do better.

I’ve only been able to connect to the app once. It’s super confusing to follow the guide on the app as well as on the camera. Even when I did connect my phone to the camera it took about 30 minutes..

Can’t download videos!

Love this app, works very good. I gave a two star rating because you can’t download your videos to your phone! Please fix this, very disappointing.

Another excellent reason why I switched to Sony. Updated the app to do some work on my 6D and though I’m connected to the camera the app says it’s not. Connection guide is worthless because I’ve repeated the steps several times and there’s nothing to update because the settings are all correct. Well back to my trust A7rii ........
