So frustrating

The app will not transfer RAW files. That makes no sense! My live view is upside down. Connecting over WiFi is wonky.

Too much configuration. This should be seamless but it’s a never ending display of text, menus, and dead ends. There’s a good app in here somewhere. Make it simpler and more reliable, Canon. You’re better than this. UPDATE: Somehow this is now worse. Directions do not match what I’m seeing on my camera. Garbage.

Such a bad app…

I really want to like this app. But it’s truly the worst. I mean, it’s CANON. Why is it such garbage!? So slow, buggy, glitchy, etc. I wish they would re-develop the app to be seamless, fast, and up to date.

I’ve used this app for my Power Shot SX60 for years but for the last few months it will no longer connect. I don’t know if it’s due to an Apple iOS update on my iPad or if it’s due to an update to the app. Every time I try to connect, it says “no internet connection.” I repeat the step several times with same results. Very disappointed that I can no longer connect the camera, and I don’t know how to fix the problem.

Great Potential but a Great Dissapppoinment

A friend of mind showed me this app a few years ago. I was so psyched! Having recently received my new Canon 90D, I put it to the test. It worked fine at first. Then it didn’t. Later during a shoot where I was photographing myself, it lost connection. This kept happening after every shot. I tried to figure it out without any success. As a result I lost valuable time and almost my sanity. Canon: You got a great concept here! Right now I’m on verge of being converted into a doubter among the many people who are equally turned off by this app. Right now the Covid-19 pandemic has millions sheltering indoors and need to keep busy. With the social distancing thing, people don’t have the available extra hands to help with filming or photographing. This app can be a lifesaver!!! Please fix this!!! People will love you for it!!!!! Update: Still problems!!! Tried to establish a connection with Wi-Fi to transfer photos wirelessly to my iPad. I wasted a full hour with this!!! Totally useless!!!

It’s 2021 and this app has UI from 2004. But that’s not the worst. It doesn’t even work. It’s impossible to pair an PIXMA printer over WiFi. It’s a second Cannon device I tried this year and both had issues like this. Seriously , I don’t understand how this company can afford reviews this bad. It’s just ridiculous that they can’t get it right.

This is such a horrible app. It used to work better and you'd think with each update, they'd improve. But no. It has such a rough time just pairing to the phone now. And when it it paired, somehow it takes longer to load a picture than before. Good job canon. And as a Japanese, I am embarrassed. I say this because Japanese aren't great at GUI. Japanese way of thinking absolutely does not go well with how things are done internationally. They need western eyes to get some things done better. Period.

Not intuitive, easy, or streamlined. Very buggy and takes a while to set up and connect. I used this feature with a competitive brand (Leica) and it took 1.2 seconds to get the images from camera to phone. Canon took 15-20 minutes and I had to watch numerous tutorials to figure out the quirks. The user guide is not helpful, either. Please please update your tech, Canon. Until then, I will forgo and use a card reader.

Would say that this app is an amazing life saver and can make it possible to create content but… it’s not reliable and only works when it wants to work you canon guys should really be fixing these bugs cause this app could be great if it worked.
