Needs to be updated

Connections drops or won’t connect. Big inconvenience that needs to be fixed!

Great once you’re able to connect

Connecting your Canon to the app is a hassle because you have to first pair it through WiFi, then open the app and wait a bit for the the camera and app to link. Once it’s connected, it’s a pretty nice app to use. I especially like being able to download some of my images directly to my phone or iPad.

Non functional

I down loaded the app. When I try to use the app in shuts down as soon as I open in. Terrible. I was looking forward to usin my new wi if capable canon camera with the app and now I can’t. I would give it zero stars if that was an option.

Terrible and unusable

A company as established as Canon should have a much better app. It’s so bad I may never buy another Canon camera again.

Oh My Goodness....

LongTimeCanonFan

I’m admittedly not the most tech savvy guy around, but isn’t that one of the purposes of apps....to make things easy, particularly for folks like me? I finally — after much effort/time — got the camera and iPhone to talk to one another, and I was able to see thumbnails of my photos. A couple of minutes later they disconnected, and I can’t get them to connect again. This isn’t going to change my long time allegiance to Canon, and I’ll get an SD card reader to transfer the photos, but this app sure is frustrating, considering that one of the selling features of this new camera is the wireless capability.

Worst App Ever

I’m very perplexed that Canon will make a very broken, useless App and don’t care to provide the necessary update to ensure proper function. Why not just get rid of App.

unusable

App used to work perfectly! It crashes on load since an update

Usable, but not optimal

From the first time opening the app, initializing connection isn’t hard, but i expect the camera instantly connect on the consequent uses when i press the connection button on the camera. Image transfer happens, but i should be able to do it in background. Not to mention it doesn’t transfer RAW files. Might as well use an adapter dongle. But at least it creates a new folder for the images... mad if it doesn’t Live view is the main feature here though. I should be able to hide my hands holding my iPhone and press the volume button to activate the shutter, but no, i had to use the onscreen shutter that have no tactile feedback, making shots awkward to take. Also the on screen viewfinder can be larger in landscape if the buttons are more optimally arranged. The good thing is that I can adjust exposure settings on the phone. It works fine so i guess it deserves at least three stars, so i give put an extra star to balance it out
